Hey sorry I don't belong in these parts but I'm looking for 1-3 experts on Saudi Arabia's current football team AND that are active on BigSoccer. They need to be knowledgeable of the team, fair, and just. I'm doing a little bit of a project at the moment and would appreciate any help I could get. Thanks in advance!
what do you mean you don't belong to these parts ? you certainly belong here and are welcome . I consider myself very knowledgeable about football in Saudi Arabia currently the best players in Saudi Arabia are as follows : GK ; Hassan Alotaibi , Waleed Abdulla , Abdulla Alsodairy Defense : Naif Algady , Osama Howsawi , Majid Almarshidy , Redha Tuker , Kamel Almusa , Mohmmad Mosa'd , Hassan Moath ,Abdulla Shuhil . Midfielders : Abdulziz Aldosary , Salem Aldosary , Nawaf Alabed , Yasser Alfahmy ,Abdulraheem Aljezawee , Saud Kariri , Motaz Almusa , Khalid Aziz , Tyseer Aljasem , Ahmed Autef . best Strikers : Naif Hazzazi , Yasser Alqahtani , Nasser Alshamrani.
Thanks! That's a solid start. Let me tell you what exactly I'm looking for so maybe you can tweak it. I'm trying to put together some world rankings. The idea is to rate every team's player's 1-100 with an expert for every team to give a fair and just review of the their respective team. Obviously you (and anyone else who shows up) would just cover Saudi Arabia. Here's how I would compile the ratings. If the World Cup was in one month and every team had a month to prepare it's squad to play, who would be chosen, what would their ratings be, and how many minutes would they play on average? (This is who you would expect to see, not who you'd want to see.) For example, this is what USA's squad would look like, in my opinion: 81 - Howard (GK) 90 mins 73 - Cherundolo (RB) 70 mins 71.5 - Bocanegra (CB) 85 mins 69.5 - Goodson (CB) 70 mins 72.5 - Johnson (LB) 80 mins 74.5 - Bradley (CDM) 90 mins 76.5 - Jones (CDM) 80 mins 70 - Torres (CM) 60 mins 82 - Dempsey (LW) 90 mins 80.5 - Donovan (RW) 90 mins 74 - Altidore (ST) 75 mins 71.5 - Chandler (RB) 15 mins 70.5 - Lichaj (RB) 5 mins 69 - Parkhurst (CB/RB) 5 mins 68 - Onyewu (CB) 13 mins 69 - Cameron (CB) 7 mins 69.5 - Castillo (LB) 10 mins 69.5 - Edu (CM) 15 mins 70.5 - Beckerman (CM) 10 mins 68 - Boyd (ST) 3 mins 70 - Gomez (ST) 25 mins 68 - Wondolowski (ST) 2 mins I gave Howard a 81 rating and expect him to play 90 minutes, every minute, while Goodson is expected to play only 70 minutes as the CB spot is still pretty open for the US. I based all the ratings off FIFA 12, the game, but there is only one Saudi Arabian player on the entire game, which I noticed wasn't in your aforementioned players. = / Here's what I have so far: 50 - No Clue (GK) 90 mins 60 - Fareed Alhafith (D) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (D) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (D) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (D) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (M) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (M) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (M) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (M) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (F) 90 mins 50 - No Clue (F) 90 mins So a lot needs to change there. A starting roster with respective ratings. Any potential subs? What would their ratings be and expected average minutes? You have to factor in long term injuries but current fitness issues you could likely ignore. For example, Stuart Holden will likely make the actual World Cup squad but for now I have to keep him off as he is recovering from a massive knee injury. This is a big work in progress but here is the "current" overall rankings. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AttujdNBdATWdHI3WVRSM2xDaWcycnZwbnFKTFRoS0E&output=html I realize this is a big overtaking and should be taken with a grain of salt AND that there's no "correct" answer but I thought it'd still be interesting to compile. If you have any questions let me know!
oh sorry, i forgot to put to mention some wonderful players ( mohmmad alshalhoup , ahmed alfraidy,Saud Kariri ) alright as I understand you. you need me to rate the best available 22 players for a world cup match . but what is the criteria ? what is the rating based on ? we got pretty skilled players but they are not physically fit , and we got physically fit players but they have nothing in common with football except the career, and we got physically fit and very skilled but they got attitude problems. currently, football in Saudi Arabia is a main reason for hair loss :/. I'll try to rank them based on the skill. 65- Waleed Abdulla (90 mins)(GK) 76 - Osama Howsawi (90 mins)(CB) the most consistent player in Saudi Arabia 70 - Naif Alqady (65 mins)(CB) very good defender ,but he is physically unfit , 70- Abdulla Shuheel (70 mins)(RB) really fast and really skilled 62- Hassan Moath(60 mins)(LB) really skilled but very angry 68- Saud Kariri(90 mins)(DM) a very good defensive midfielder , very old as well 69- Ahmed Alfriady(70 mins)(CM) very skilled , he does not care much for team play, very slow 66- Tyseer Aljasem(70 mins)(CM) very consistent 80- Salem Aldosary(75 mins)(RM) very young , very skilled . 89- Mohammad Alshalhoup(60 mins)(LM) this guy is currently the best but he is old , and very slim 71- Nasser Alshamrani(90 mins)(ST) the best available striker and very professional 60-Redha Tuker (5 mins)(CB) really large body with a small brain 60-Majid Almarshady(5 mins)(CB) this guy had highs and lows 69-Kamel Almusa(30 mins)(CB/LB) this guy is really good but he is very slow. 66-Mohammad Mosa'd(30 mins)(RB/LB) good player but very slow 64-Khalid Aziz(5 mins)(DM) very skilled , bad temper 80-Abdulaziz Aldosary(5 mins)(LM) very skilled , he had an injury lately , very slim 63-Nawaf Alabed(20 mins)(LM/RM) very skilled , bad temper 65-Yasser Alfahmy(10 mins)(CM) very young , very good . 62-Ahmed Autef(5 mins)(CM) okay for a backup plan. 66 - Yasser Alqhtani (10 mins )(ST) very skilled , he has been going downhill since 2007 . 69 - Naif Hazzazi (20 mins) (ST) good, young . i rated in comparison with the best Saudi players
Awesome. I loved the player reviews. Especially Tuker's. I had to shift some of the player ratings to get them more in line with FIFA 12's but all-in-all this was great. (Here are all of FIFA 12's ratings btw: http://sofifa.com/en/player/active) 65 - W. Abdullah (GK) 90 mins 76 - A. Shuheel (RB) 70 mins 70 - O. Howsawi (CB) 90 mins 70 - N. Alqady (CB) 65 mins 62 - H. Moath (LB) 60 mins 68 - S. Kariri (CDM) 90 mins 69 - S. Aldossari (RM) 75 mins 66 - A. Alfriady (CM) 70 mins 72 - T. Aljasem (CM) 80 mins 77 - M. Al-Shalhoub (LM) 60 mins 71 - N. Alshamrani (ST) 90 mins 60 - R. Tuker (CB) 5 mins 66 - M. Almarshady (CB) 10 mins 69 - K. Almusa (CB/LB) 30 mins 66 - M. Mosa'd (RB/LB) 30 mins 64 - K. Aziz (CDM) 5 mins 75 - A. Aldosary (LM) 5 mins 63 - N. Alabed (LM/RM) 20 mins 65 - Y. Alfahmy (CM) 10 mins 62 - A. Autef (CM) 5 mins 66 - Y. Alqhtani (ST) 10 mins 69 - N. Hazzazi (ST) 20 mins This puts them 5th overall in the AFC: https://docs.google.com/a/harding.e...jdNBdATWdHI3WVRSM2xDaWcycnZwbnFKTFRoS0E&gid=4 Any more changes or suggestions? I'm still open to tweaking it.
there are three good Saudi posters who are active and understand football pretty darn well , hijazzy , ittihadi , burning_phoenix but i don't think they will be watching this forum off-season, and while Europe nations cup 2012 is on action .

allan123: do you know what is the deference between a noob and a newbie ? a newbie is a new user who shows an authentic desire to learn, newbies are always welcome, newbies bump new blood to the chat rooms, social groups ,forums....etc. they are the best , in time they become experts a noob on the other hand is , some one who doesn't understand , don't know , don't want to learn ,and acts like he understand everything. noobs always say STFU . these guys are not welcome. they annoy the members. sadly in recent years noobs are infesting the Internet rapidly, we need a solution. noobs don't change no matter how much time they use the technolog.
Following is my assessment of Saudi Arabia failure with yet again another early exit from Asian Nations Cup: The Saudi NT coach Mancini made many blunders from the start, from team players/squad selection for the tournament to playing with players on merit in each match. Firstly, you do not select & take fresh players in any major tournament to make a debut Secondly, you do not substitute your core/main player in any important match but ensure that the main player plays entire game Thirdly, you do not introduce inexperienced player, newly selected in the team, to play in a knock-out game as pressure takes the toll and it becomes impossible to handle the heat so team starts playing deep in own yard thus starts giving opportunity to opponent to score Fourthly, team 1-0 ahead but dropping deeper and deeper invites a late equaliser So, Mancini did all the blunders. He didn't selected proper star players and took on board young, inexperienced players who should have had been better tested in 3 to 4 friendly games before being called to join NT in any major event. Mancini's game tactics was too narrow and defensive, playing with only 1 striker instead of 2 which is historically always had been a major strong aspect of Saudi soccer team that won major tournaments, be it at club or national level. The worst of all, he continuously replaced Salem Al Dawsary mid way in 2nd half, between 60th to 70th minute (approx) which should have had been avoided in major knockout game against Korea since his replacement Ghareeb might had been lucky against Oman but was required to partner with Salem in the midfield against much technically sound Korean players. Saleh Al Shehri should have had played with a partner striker like Raddif or Firas Albarrikan. Playing with 1 forward against strong opposition does suits any team to win any game. Sami AlJaee, though a utility player, but was not fit for playing against opposition that plays fast flowing game. Also, Eid was vulnerable due to his inexperience while no. 6 was also not confident in playing fast flowing game. So, Mancini made many mistakes that cost Saudi Arabia Asian Cup knockout match. Saudi Arabia should have a coach who plays attacking football with 2 forwards. While Saudi FA should ensure that Saudi Arabia plays as many friendly games as possible on FIFA days in which, opportunity should be provided to new players to showcase their talent before they actually get called to join the NT in any major tournament. Mancini should change his defensive mindset to attacking if he wants any success in Saudi Arabia.
