There are so many players weekly who for whatever reason, deal with and play with injuries, and they are all documented. Here are the players that played... https://football-italia.net/serie-a-line-ups-udinese-vs-roma-3/ Ndicka according to game notes, is still listed as an active player on the field and he hasn't yet been taken out for Chris Smalling. I don't see how Ndicka is going to play and no one knows if Smalling is ready either. I mean he may have been available last week but who knows if he will be ready this week as he is also coming back off an injury and not 100%.
Not a 100% sure but every change probably costs you a sub just like @La Magica and @Matrim said. Anyway, I believe DDR will take this game as serious as any other because of how important these 3 points could turn out to be in the end.
Roma have 2 subs made already. Whoever is replacing Ndicka will be a 3rd. If there happens to be 3 injuries or more to the remaining 11 come match day (its Roma, its possible) then all subs will have been used and they would have to play with men down. Its also why it would be better to get this game over with as quick as possible. It will be interesting to see do they make Roma start with 10 men until the first ball is out of play or they do it the same way a ht sub comes in before kick off. Unless someone is caught cold early, its probably going to be pretty uneventful with maybe a few chances in the final minutes. I cant see Udinese pushing in their situation, they would rather lock in a point than risk it so I would expect them to want to kill the clock. Maybe just enough time for a Dybala curler.
When Ndicka fell to the ground , it was in the 71st minute. That leaves 19 more minutes left to be played. Anyone know how much injury time will be added?
No that isn't the point because I was not asking about a normal match where 5 minutes of injury time are added. If you want to go according to the rules or laws of the game, the match was stopped for like 15-20 minutes. Therefore, will they only add 5 or another 20 minutes and will they make an exception here and shorten the injury time?
When have you ever known the injury time to be added on for a game thats in the 72min of play? You dont need to over complicate this. The game will start from this time and injury time will be added at the end considering the subs used and whatever time wasting is to occur in the final 20 mins of play, like how injury time is calculated every game. The time the play was stopped while they assessed Ndicka before abandoning the game is now irrelevant. Play resume from 72mins on.
Not so sure. If they resume from the 72nd minute on, that means there will only be 18 to 23 minutes of play and that seems like a joke and such a waste of time. We will have to wait and see but I’m betting the ref will be adding at least another ten to twelve more minutes at the end.
I think playing this before Genoa would have been ideal for us, but what can you do. In one sense it's probably as well to get this game finished sooner rather than later. 3pts would be huge for both sides for different reasons. It's only 20 or so minutes of football so I expect both sides to throw the kitchen sink at it to try and go 2-1 up....then go from there. An open game should suit us better. Hopefully we get the performance and result we need tomorrow....and then if we can win this we'll have fcuk all time to prepare for Napoli but at least we'll be in a strong position going into that game.
Talk of Udinese making a coaching change after their Verona loss and Cannavaro will be in charge of this game now. May have a new coach bounce to deal with as well.
This is gonna be a very tough game. One mistake and a counter attack could really screw us. And they're gonna come in motivated, under a new coach. Honestly, I wouldn't be too sad with a draw.
If Roma are required to field the same 11 on the pitch at 71st minute then Udinese should be required to have the same staff on sidelines. In hindsight it was pointless to suspend the game. By the time the club arrived to hospital he wasn't even having cardiac monitoring performed.
The info that we have to field the same XI that was on the field at the time of the interruption was wrong. The only players that can't play are those that have already been subbed off.
Certainly we'll be all out attack. Impossible to know how Udinese will approach it. 3pts would be massive for them too, if I was them I'd go for it...and they might. Sure, an open mini match might play into our hands, but going for the 3pts and maybe losing the 1pt they currently have is surely worth the gamble. That said, their approach may well be to park up and look to hold out for a point....maybe catch us out with a counter.
Unless Roma score an early goal, Udinese will surely approach it by looking to first and foremost secure a point. Every point is massive for them so you dont take risks in their situation. 1 point first, 3 is a bonus. If in the 20 mins, a mistake or a chance opens up they push for it but otherwise they will be playing it very carefully to kill the clock.
Count on Italy to just make their own shit up. Maybe this is a compromise with the club since Roma complained about a packed schedule as it doesnt make sense. It gives DDR a slight advantage to take a different approach if he wants so its all good.
