Lets foggin' go. We owe these plebs a good thrashing for that bullshit they pulled at the start of the season.

Win, 3-0, embarrass them on their own pitch.

I’d take that score line in a heartbeat. But somehow I have a hard time imagining only one goal in this fixture.

I see where you’re coming from but I’m not sure Thomas is ready to start two games in four days. And I suspect that maybe Mikel had Jorginho on his mind for WHL.

Edit: Actually it's 5 days of rest. Originally I had this game in as Saturday, but it's actually Sunday. Maybe it got rearranged. In any case Partey and everyone else will certainly enjoy that additional day!

4 matches left in the season, I don't think you worry about saving anyone. If Partey is the best option and can go at least 60 minutes, I'd start him.

Yeah, I actually had that thought last night while I was rewatching Chelsea. That maybe this is now Mikel's preferred XI for the run-in... IF fitness allows? AND maybe Partey is our X-factor for this final title challenge? As I mentioned in my rewatch summary, he really impressed me in 1T, and I was borderline shocked at that, since I'd basically written him off. If he keeps being chosen then the proof will be in the pudding, especially against tougher opposition than Chelsea were. And I have to assume that Ange's team may be just that.

p.s. Funny side note? It took me a full minute or two to come up with who Spuds latest coach is. Sure that says a little about my aging brain, but I wanna think it says more about the revolving door which has been that position over the the last 5 years, in stark contrast to their arch rival. :)

    Same lineup as last game.

I feel the game is going to be decided on whether spurs 15 days of rest let them recharge or fall out of sync.

Have they been off that long?? What a strange time of year to be sitting in the sidelines.

Certainly will be interesting. I think after the way Partey contributed on Tuesday, he has to start on Sunday. Slice them spuds right down the middle.

This is their cup final so we have to match them. If we can get three points, I think we would be able to win the league.

From today's Handbrake Off podcast, Adrian Clarke & Art DeRoche wieghed in on a few things related to this match...

They debated the Trossard vs Martinelli decision, and ultimately settled on Leo for his current form & finishing, over Gabi's pace, getting in behind, etc.

Clarke also said that their first choice FB's are not fit (Porro & Udogie) so we're likely to see Royale & Davies, which is relatively good news for our wide attackers.

He went on to say that their CM is weak. Their last game Bentancur & Bissouma were taken off in 2T for Hjobjerg & Sarr, who weren't any better. They got rolled over by at Newcastle that day 4-0.

Porro might still make it. Udogie is the only one who is definitely out.

Its a curious one, Trossards best games for us have been off the bench.
But having Martinelli coming on late to run at a tired defence + Rayas quick long throws to him would absolutely run riot.

But Martinellis form hasn't been great, so I agree you probably have to start Trossard.

Just read all of the boss’s pre-match comments, and as usual, there’s very little real info in there, including player fitness. All he says is that we have a close to fully fit squad, minus Timber, who he did say was getting very close.

So I then looked at today’s training pics for clues, and all I can say is that I did not see Tomiyasu, Odegaard, or Saka. The latter two I’m assuming are just getting some much needed rest. But Tomi i’m slightly concerned about, given what jackson did to his ankle a 3 days ago… that replay still haunts me a bit.

Oh damn! A Bluto match thread streak!

*If* we play our game tomorrow, we win comfortably.

Its a derby against the pond scum at their toilet bowl stadium, can't take anything for granted. They need a win to keep top 4 dreams alive.

I think we win 3-1 or 3-2 and its going to get very cagey late.

If Partey plays like he did against Chelsea, we're gonna score a lot of goals
