Juve play home to Lazio again on Tuesday in semi's of coppa. On April 23 they have the away game v. Lazio in the semi's of Coppa. allegri "better Tuesday - Search (bing.com) “We must be proud of this performance and things will change on Tuesday"
The on going debate is what to do? The game was stopped twice both times too late to really affect the game. Fans were ejected. If you start fining the Mexican Federation then you might find that USA fans are willing to help lighten their wallets and in doing so only exasperating the situation. So I am curious. I what do you propose to do to stop this from happening with the understanding that 100's if not 1000's of fans are involved?
Guess, can we stay on topic. Let's keep the discussion about Wes' best role/position, please. Appreciate it.
Ok, resignation it is. What if they chant "gas the jews" or do monkey chants? Just ejections? Homophobic hate speech is a real problem and hammers need to be brought down on Mexico fans and their federation. Ban from tourneys. Ban from playing in the US. Whatever. Let me guess, you're a straight white guy?
Ironically a bunch of straight white people with a very loose understanding of Mexican Spanish were the ones who decided this was beyond the pale offensive.
It will never stop, and nobody will do anything about it because Mexico is the major money maker in CONCACAF from selling nostalgia to Mexican Americans.
Weah subbed on today and made a big difference, assisting on the goal that put Juventus through to the Coppa Italia Final.
Finally does something noteworthy for Juventus... and in a very important situation. Subs in and gets the game/tie winning assist in the 80+ minute. It may have been a shot on goal but hit w/ power and intention thru the danger zone for a tap-in. Hoping this starts a nice little run of form for him... he certainly could use it.
The assist: Timothy Weah, CLAVE para la clasificación de la Juventus a la Final de la #CoppaItalia. He had some janky touches when he first came on, but a few nice moves as well - the assist was inch perfect if that's what he intended to do and he had a good, important block late in the game in the box as well. Looked very confident after the assist (unsurprisingly) and did a lot of useful chasing to help kill the game.
For those who missed it. Tim at 7 mins here. Worth staying to watch the team mob him - clearly really happy for him as well as themselves, but the congrats was much longer and more pronounced live. Also, if you look at the final angle shot back toward Weah it sure looks like he looks up for Milik after he hits it. I had thought it was a centering pass, but only he knows for sure. also worth checking out Taty's 2nd goal - a CFs goal all the way.
... plus he could continue working towards the residency requirements he needs to attain US citizenship Sadly, NYCFC sold him to Lazio last summer and would have to re-purchase him
Those are the kind of crosses he regularly hits for the national team. Always low and very hard. Any kind of touch and they bounce in.
