LOL. And James thought it was cold in Munich! Imagine someone sending him to play in Montreal in February? He'd think he was seeing the White Walkers on game of thrones!
Cucho assisted the tying goal to allow them to take penalties and advance to the next round of the CONCACAF champions league.
It was not really an assist but his pass did lead to goal. Sucks he missed his spot kick in penalties though but they still advanced.
🚨🇨🇴 LAFC 🇺🇸 estudia la situación de Tomás Ángel quien tiene bastante competencia en la posición y ha jugado muy poco desde su llegada. Cucho was a real pain in the butt for Monterrey this evening in Champions Cup. Scored a goal, had plenty of nice attacks and chances and passes for opportunities. Pressed hard all game long and stole the ball from the Mexican defenders and midfielders. Played with such an intensity that Mexicans just did not have many answers for him. 2-1 victory in the first leg. Going to be difficult in Mexico for the second leg but at least they have the advantage.
Yeah this guy genuinely can't stop making an impact for this team. I keep wondering if he will get snatched up in the summer for a euro team. We need him to be challenged more.
I am trying to think of a Euro team where he could fit in. Maybe an Italian team. Or maybe he can go back to Spain to a team like Girona who will need reinforcements for Champions League.
Columbus about to eliminate CONCACAF CL giants Monterrey. Cucho could use the final as a way to finally put himself back on the map and get to Europe. After this he could stay and go for the club world cup but that's not till next year.
doubt it. he is older than what they want in Europe, will be expensive since MLS doesnt sell cheap, he is a mid table or worst player and they dont have money to compete with MLS/Mexico when they want 10 million for players and he failed multiple times in Europe. his only beat is getting on the NT and scoring then maybe a team will give him a shot
There were rumors last transfer window that a La Liga club was interested. It is not out of the realm of possibility he goes back to Europe. But I rather see him play in the Club World Cup with Columbus.
MLS Paid 10 million for him. What mid table team in Spain, Italy or France can afford that for 25 year old that just been ok. He is going to be a Columbus crew legend. Then go back to Colombia in 7-8 years. I dont see him in Europe as the NT coach doesnt rate him nor has he done enough to be called up. Tho he has 2 NT goals 6 years ago
