    Seventy-year-old gagged

The battalion has previously been accused of attacking Palestinian civilians and came to the attention of the Biden administration following the death, in January 2022, of a seventy-year-old Palestinian who was also a US national. Omar Assad is said to have been left tied up, gagged and mistreated in an abandoned building. According to the researchers of Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), the battalion has been proven guilty of killing unarmed civilians in at least three other cases. Under pressure from Blinken to conduct "a thorough criminal investigation," the Israeli military has previously reprimanded the commander of the unit that killed Omar Assad and suspended two non-commissioned officers
    .

This is the way the Israeli government handles war crimes by these religious thugs.
These people should be on a hunting list like any terrorist or war criminal.

Many of the protestors know there is a good chance they will be arrested. I was watching an interview with one of the Columbia protest participants (might have been an organizer) and she said they even discuss about who is willing to be arrested for their cause and who isn't. So I am guessing when the cops come, the ones that are willing "step up".

He would be made fun off, for thinking that Biden could dissolve the government

Us vs Them culture of policing & militaries. If you forced me to do this to you, college kid, then whatever happens on the quad stays on the quad. And we'll expel you too for being too critical of a foreign state. Maybe someone here can explain how squelching college kids' voices plays into the Israel rehab tour post Bibi's Gaza destruction. Because I don't see how it benefits the Israeli cause.

If there's something I know about teenagers, tell them not to do something and they do this:

Sigh. I know you would like us to think what you wrote is what you would expect someone who doesn't follow the news and who only reads headlines to take away from this post, but you're barking up the wrong tree. Unless of course screaming Hamas make us proud, Globalize the Intifada and ******** the Jews, on top of violating basic campus rules is "too critical of a foreign state". I wish just one time you wouldn't insult our collective intelligence or not argue with the main stream views for the sake of arguing for the main stream views.

OMG those sacrosanct "basic campus rules" like no underage drinking or recreational drug use! Will y'all be screeching after a big football upset when the goalposts are torn down by these wilding, Pro-Hamas yoots?

You do realize (I assume at least) that we all went to 4-year universities. In fact, I went to my school (and I'm going to date myself) when the 2nd intifada was happening. There is a Andromeda size difference b/w a typical protest (to which I've been on myriad of occasions) against "you name it" and what has been happening now? I can accept all points of view and I can easily yell mea culpa when I'm proven wrong, but no honest individual can look at what's happening now and just think this is your run of the mill college dissent.

You don't have to agree (and I know many won't), but he's not being hyperbolic.

And that is perfectly and exhaustively representative of what is happening at those protests?

I guess they were made for assaulting members of the press at college protests, not taking out active school shooters.

Scott Galloway is staff of course, not a student.

It was until 5 minutes ago, a hot button issue in conservative circles, that staff should not be fired over their political comments. It was a key part of the war on woke!

But sure, I agree with Galloway as far as it goes.

Perhaps my comment to you was too flippant, but I was genuinely interested whether he commented on the anti-semitism on twitter (and elsewhere), given you put together his comments on anti-semitism and tiktok, so i presumed there was a connection there, or were you connecting them and not him?

From my POV, its kind of odd to be worried about Chinese communist algo control while ignoring the in your face nazi algo control by our fun friend who only last week, boosted the idea that the Sydney mass stabbing killer was a jew.

And FTR, it's not whataboutism, because I want both regulated/divested. I am explicitly not saying we should ignore tiktok because whatabout twitter. I am saying twitter as well

This guy is hardly unique, Bibi himself would prefer Trump. So yeah, Biden has been going out on limb for an Israeli government comprised of many people who wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire, if their public statements about him are anything to go by.
There are bigger reasons why this must remain a non-factor in Biden's decision making but from a personal POV it can't exactly be very fun for him and his admin.

Actually it is relative to what you seem to think is going on. There is a lot of content out there to where those instances are not just an aside.

I might be a tiny bit more sympathetic if they’d police their own yet they don’t.

Bibi cannot even manage to not have a member of his government put his or her foot in their mouth every other day but you expect these heterogeneous collections of protestors to be able to consistently rein in the most extreme members among them?

And going from that POV - that there are extreme people among them who express abhorrent views - to believing that the answer is to send in the police/national guard to clear all of them out is still a bridge too far imho.

This is a policing problem common in America--it's not unique to these protests.
