I can’t wait for this season of EPL to be over. Liverpool declining? Did Caicedo make the right decision?
If Villarreal can make a deep run...so can Leverkusen. They just have to add more to the bench. Plus playing with that amount of pressure after being champions would be good for Piero. I hate Liverpool so seeing them lose to Atalanta was beautiful lmao
Alonso said one of the conditions he put on the club to stay was several core players could not be sold this summer.
I’m indifferent towards Liverpool and I don’t take kindly klopps attitude towards Moisés after being rejected.
I think they can make it to 6th in the table with a solid string of results, but the gap between 5 and 6 is pretty steep.
I would hope Piero is on this list. He seems to get playing time every game since he he got back into rhythm
Yeah he played the full 90 as well, Joel Ordóñez also played full 90 for Brugge and they also qualified for semis.
Ariel Holan is rumored to be the main option for BSC. He was rumored to be an option for our NT a few years ago if I remember correctly. Igor Oca will is being linked to Deportivo Cuenca as well. I liked his season with UC was surprised when they decided not to renew with him. Glad he is continuing in our football.
I missed out on a week's worth of news and games, so I feel out of the loop. I was stuck in Dubai during the floods. Has there been any movement on the GolTV issue with the LigaPro? I feel like Loor has botched this process twice and there's a good chance the FEF is gonna jump in and take it over. The sustainability model of the LigaPro was always precarious, but now, it's getting really bad for the smaller clubs. They're owed soooooo much money.
With De Zerbi in Chelsea's line of sight we know 2 things: -Front office public support for Pochettino's project is superficial and only exists to avoid a bigger media calamity. He's probably been on the chopping block since February (at least). Making runs in domestic cup tournaments is nice, but losing a final or a semifinal with recurrence is just a bad look. You can tell how well suited Liverpool and City are to keep dominating the league based on their performance and swagger. -Chelsea will make an intentional push to find a coach who emphasizes a possession-focused style of ball and build the team smartly around blue chip pieces. De Zerbi is a tough guy, but he's also a "player's coach". That bodes well for Caicedo who needs more nurturing and an adjusted formation to put him in a position to succeed. De Zerbi just seems like a more tactically minded coach. Though Graham Potter who was also hired from Brighton fizzled, he didn't have the raw talent on-hand that Poch has. One might argue he had an unfair shake to really settle into the system. I think Chelsea is worse off this year because they spent more and are conceding goals at a rate similar to relegation-bound squads. That said, Chelsea has faced a few unfortunate adversities throughout the season which will be even out of Poch's scope of blame- notably injuries. At one point, 30% of their roster was injured/sidelined. Including the capitain! I don't think there's been a stretch of more than 3 games where they've ever fielded anything remotely close to a "full" XI. Basically, the whole season has been one big tactical experiment with no consistency. Let's see if this plays out b/c we all know the chisme in the futbol world is second only to our tias and abuelas...y las vecinas. https://www.futbolecuador.com/site/...que-seria-perfecto-para-moises-caicedo/164580
