Long Island just posted/reposted on HigherEd. I can't remember if it was posted at first.

 

When position first posted in Dec (yes, Dec 2023), I reached out to a friend who is in the athletic department and he said that they had a short list and position would be filled by Jan...ummm, I guess he might have met Jan 2025??

 

I heard that they were giving it to Melina (Current interim Head Coach). Did they have a change of heart?

 

I am speculating, but if they post the "open" position now, I cannot imagine they are looking for candidates for 2025-26! Who is going to put themselves out there, now, while spending this fall in their present situation. Very odd!!

 

Maybe they had to post the job for legal reasons and plan to give it to her anyway. Could that be the reason that they didn’t post on multiple websites? I really don’t know, I’m just guessing.
