Don't know whether we've just run out of gas, both physically and mentally, or if the pressure of the title race got to (at least some of) the players. Will be interesting to see who still has some fire in their belly, as well as who Klopp selects to close out his reign. I *should* be less nervous watching, since there's not as much on the line, although the once all but assured top four finish is now not a given. YNWA
I'm fervently hoping for that earthshaking "pop" when the team's collective thumb gets pulled out of its collective arse for this one. There's still a lot at stake here.
Won't be watching, will probably just watch the lowlights. Need to cancel Peacock. Only match that matters is Klopp's last match against Wolves.
Come on…it’s not that bad… Disappointing yes… But we’re actually in a much better position than we were last year, and than most people thought we’d be, with four games to go…
Yes , absolutely. I'm sure few expected Lpool would in the top four and many had the likes of Chelsea,ManUtd and Spurs finishing ahead of us. What Klopp and this squad has done this season is pretty damn good. We've really never suffered thru any slumps all season until recently when I think we ran out of gas. Numerous times we've found ways to pull games out of the fire and to mitigate for serious injury issues . I think a top 4 finish and a Carabao cup is reasonably good season for a team in transition and I'm looking forward to see how Slot continues the process.
The frustrating thing is where you begin your season analysis. In August, a Carabao Cup and a top 3 finish looks great; in March that looks like a fail, certainly a huge disappointment.
Klopp says he was afraid the Everton centerhalves would bully Danns too much so he never put him on. Pretty ridiculous I would say. Why have him on the bench then? Jota’s injured and with the exception of Gakpo, the other forwards are misfiring. So start Danns. If the W Ham defense bullies him off the ball, is that any worse that a Salah or Nũnez who are having trouble keeping the ball in orbit on their attempts?

Bajcetic? Now there’s a name I hadn’t seen in ages! And Salah and Nuñez dropped! The latter I’d expected but the former
I do think he was blindsided by Jota’s injury and Gakpo’s unavailability. Otherwise, Danns may not have been allowed to play for the U21s, I believe. Not that Klopp would’ve started him but at least have him fresh to play off the bench. EDIT: No Danns in the bench— seems to have been cursed by those who asked Klopp about him, eh?
