I was in my local sports soccer today having a look around when I found these on the sock stand :

They look like Nike football socks that you can wear over sports socks. Am I right? Or are they some kinda shin pad holder? They seemed a little bit too long and thick for that though.

Anyhow, I've never seen them before so just wondered!

    hey back!

Yeah i could make out the words "football" on them. There defo meant to be worn over another sock by the looks of it. I was just watching Human Traffic again, and somehow weirdly was reminded of u haha!

The socks are folded in half with the packaging around them. I did my best considering i didnt want to buy them!

basically, they look like football socks but the bottoms have been cut off and the elastic strap is in its place.

Maybe you put those on first and put white sports socks over the top in Ronaldo style?

Your hand looks kinda chubby in that pic:D
Come'on, I owe you that one;)
So is the ribbed part the top? Or the part at the ankle?
Either way, strange but im sure I've seen them for something before, just can't think what!
Could wear shorter socks Cristi style then those OVER your boots! Save time!

Hahaha, I know my hand looks a bit deformed. I was trying to take the picture fast. But i'll let you have that one. Afterall its better to have a fat hand rather than a fat face huh?

so do u have just the one fat hand? and one normal one? Do u look like some kind of female Jeremy Beedle?!?!

I luv how ur excuse is u were "taking the pic fast", ur such a girl, probably otherwise would have made sure to pose so ur hand was in a flattering position....whereas us guys basically happy so long as our clothes don't have sick on them when a foto is taken!

I've seen some pros looking like they were wearing a cutoff sock and I bet this is what it is. They probably wear it with a more comfortable sock for themselves.

hi i can confirm that they are socks designed to be worn over another pair of your own socks

a lot of italian kits had these about 10 years ago, i remember having the parma and italian national kits with the same kind of socks. ive always said they should bring them back!

They are the best plus it allows the trainers to get to the injury faster...

appleCORR, i take it you didn't buy them (hence the photo in the shop rather than at your home)? I've just bought a pair off eBay, I'll post what they're like once I've had a few goes with them.

Also, which Sports World is your local one? And did they have any other colours?

I was thinkin about getting then but thought i'd probably never wear them so didn't bother.

My local sportsword is Birmingham. I think they only had the yellow colour.
