Democrats in disarray!!! Chip Roy goes after Gaetz: “You want to come at me and call me a RINO you can kiss my ass! You go around talking your big game and thumping your chest on Twitter. Come in my office and have a debate mother —-!” pic.twitter.com/mk6Qv6PfC6— Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) October 3, 2023
A procedural rule? Of course not. But it does strike me as being a lot more complicated and messy that it might seem at first glance. Each party stays out of the other's business. Personally, I see a logic and value in that. There's also the absurd reality that the guy the Dem's would be saving just agreed to impeachment hearings against Biden. Read that twice. Seriously. Then there's this: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/03/us/politics/democrats-hakeem-jeffries-mccarthy.html Argue for breaking with historical norms if you think the moment is right for change. But doing so in order to save McCarthy? Are you ********ing kidding me?
Kev was OK with being bipartisan when keeping the govt open. Then within a day he spit on Democrats on TV. So the gloves were off. Now add Congressional dysfunction to the list of stuff to pin on Republicans next November.
At least you're finally addressing (poorly) what he actually wrote, rather than telling him to "shut the ******** up" over something he never said like you did before. I guess that's about as much of an improvement as could have been hoped for.
Ok. That's nice; but it's a misrepresentation of what he suggested. Jesus, can't people actually address what he actually wrote? Is it impossible?
When a congresspig resigns, they usually become a lobbyist. But a lobbyist with no friends in congress doesn't get much business.
Like with the Tories in the UK, the GOP is such a huge mess that they really shouldn't get close to a majority for a generation. The fact that this isn't remotely the case is worrying.
We have all noticed the complete radio silence from TFG. Kevin spent most of his time kissing his fat ass but he would not lift a finger to help him save his speakership.
Oh well..... Keep the circus going! Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) told CNN that he expects a resolution to expel Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) from the GOP conference to come up. Meanwhile, Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) added: “I’d love to have him out of the conference. He shouldn’t be in the Republican Party.”
Crazy lunatic says what? Whatever happened to using letters cut out of magazines to write ransom notes? American craftsmanship is dead. https://t.co/agKrKVrMQd— Maura Dougherty (@mauradougherty) October 3, 2023
Let me take another stab at this. How were those rules gonna pass? You’re assuming a can opener here.
