I have nothing positive to say about Stroot's time with Wolfsburg. And Wilms seems to be the personification of the clubs decline on the field during her time as an uncontested starter....:(

I saw the 2nd half of the 1st half. Why can Wolfsburg never figure out Lyon? :(

i mean, i know they have inferior players but Huth’s being bullied out there so that Lattwein has to do everything herself - and failing at that

Hey, you don't have to lose by too much, or Roma won't lead the group by goal difference!

Why is it that Minge’s been used as a defensive player when she’s really a C(A)M?

Like I said in the wnt thread... Minge as a CM/AM was great, Minge as DM was good, but Minge as a CB...

    Sad.
    Serious injury? :cautious:

So is 0-2 the final score? (I was watching Japan U-17).

I really don't want to say too much about Bundesliga clubs right now... but Stroot has been at Wolfsburg for THREE YEARS, and in his first two UWCL games this season hasn't been able to select a competent starting 11...

Deploying a horribly negative 5-4-1 during the first half, changed after being 2-0 down to something closer to a normal system that would allow them to compete. The fact this club has extended this mans contract is honestly embarrassing lol.

At least her final game for Germany could be in danger. Yes the game ended 0:2. Wolfsburg now needs 6 points against Galatasaray.

Was it the match vs Italy or something else? :cautious:

I can tell you from direct experience that it won't be hard. If you watched even just a glimpse of today's match vs Roma, you should know that their defense (and especially their GK) aren't competent. :coffee:

I didn’t see the game but in the first goal; why was Renard so high up/close to the Wolfsburg goal line?(the highlight didn’t show any kind of free or corner kick)
The official configuration had Wolfsburg playing an 5-back with Minge as the center CB. Minge usually been the starting DM, but Stroot has his players switching or out of position within minutes
Lyon is basically a full, international all-star team that’s getting less French by the minute; coached by an Australian, they only started two French players(Renard & Diani). The majority team owner now is American entrepreneur, Michele Kang, who unlike the cheapo HOF billionaire, will spend a lot of money on women’s sports—she actually funded our US rugby team(6v6 version) which won bronze at the Olympics(even though nobody really plays that sport in our country, lol). Kang even bought off the Barca coach for her Washington Spirit club. Bought Swede stars Alsani & Jakobsson for her 2nd Div club, London Bees.

in Lyon’s case, buying Chawinga is paying off huge dividends —if she’s anything like her sister, who currently dominates the NWSL goal scoring stats—and I noticed poor Hegerberg only 15 minutes league playing time so far, lol

Did you only watch the highlights video, or did you also heard the comment? A few seconds after the goal-action was replayed, the comment guy says, about Renard: "She persisted, she stayed up there after that corner...".

So you had the answer to your question in the highlights-video itself (and it was there to hear even for me, who didn't watch the full game). :coffee:

Lyon had a corner a minute before the goal but Endemann had a bad clearance and Lyon stayed in attack.
