Love patricio, but he’s been horrendous for a couple years now. GK is probably our weakest position. Ramos sucks too, I’d still take him over Ronaldo, but that is Jotas spot as long as he’s healthy.

Yep, our lack of talent at GK will screw us in June. Both Costa and Patricio are utter dog shit.. Getting torched by the mighty Slovenia LOL imagine what Georgia, Turkiye, Czechia will do to us in the euro. I can see them getting grouped if they don't use this as a wake up call and stop starting Ronaldo and ********ing Ruben Neves lmao what a joke. If Portugal even leave the groups, they will get absolutely lit up in Round of 16 or quarter final. Just like world cup 2022, quarter final is their ceiling for me. I can't see this team going further than that even at their best.. What a waste of talent, best team in the world on paper but can't beat Slovenia hahahaha

Whatever, I am drunk and angry.. We have a pretty winnable group now with Georgia, Turkiye who got smoked 6-1 by Austria today and Czechia who struggles vs Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova, .. It was just a silly meaningless friendly, we have 3 more to prepare before Euro starts. I am overreacting lmao see yall in June..

But either way never let Neves, Ronaldo, Felix or Danilo start a game ever again bro..

So we still haven't faced a good side but it's now apparent that win streak was just because of how poor the opposition was.

Felix cannot hit the broadside of a barn. No clue why he keeps getting called.

The saudi players are out of their depth now.

Vitinha and conceicao are mid at best.

Pepe is still our best CB. The Danilo experiment failed and Antonio Silva is flat trash...our whole back line is a joke no reason to get shots of from those positions.

Cancelos attitude is garbage pep is smart for tossing him

Ronaldo gets wide open and then no service it looks like the players are trying to sabotage him but he's lost 3 steps anyway.

Martinez is as bad as I originally thought and had we won today we would get a real rude awakening at the euro. At least now I know we are going to flop

Ronaldo gets wide open easily because he doesn’t do anything else. He plays like he expects the team to play exclusively through him. Might’ve been ok, albeit boring, in the past, but he’s not good enough to get away with that anymore.

Not good for the B team...

The result is what it is, but just seeing Ronaldo on the pitch moaning all the time when things don't go his way because he's over the hill, is really frustrating.

He caused issues in the 2022 world cup camp, and he will cause them again at the Euro. He should have been called up for one more final qualifier at home, then told to pack his bags along with the other Saudi players.

Felix Danilo and Neves should literally never be called up again for the NT. Ronaldo super sub at best..

The Turks, Czechs & Georgians are all going to play the way Slovenia did today. They were definitely paying attention to this game. This group might just turn out to be an utter nightmare....

Ronaldo flat out cost us a goal against with that stupid mistake.

    - back to reality. at one point ronaldo looked like one of the fastest humans on the planet let alone in football, now he's one of our slowest players. He will start for us in the euro and will embarrass himself. i grew up watching this man dominate football and hands down top3 greatest ever, no question, but he's ruining his legacy, this is embarrassing, i wouldn't call him up because we know dam well if that man is on the bench, hell ruin all squad moral.

    - cancelo one of our most talented players but has the football IQ of a rich 14yr old saudi kid playing FUT

-dalot aside from couple of mistakes which no footballer is immune from i liked what i saw 80% of the time he isn't one of our most talented fullbacks but one thing he gives us everytime he wears the jersey is effort.

-felix/vitinha showed glimpses of their talent and skill but these 11 did them no favors.

    - anyone who does not play in Europe professionally should not get called up to ANY NT no exceptions.... aside from maybe mbappe if he expected the 1billion for 1 yr deal. i would give him a pass if france called him up.

all in all i think this a great loss, should wake up everyone from the Martinez dream they were having.

Diogo Costa couldn't stop a beach ball.. Please start Patricio or give Sá a chance for our next 3 friendlies in June.. Costa already proved we can't trust him against Morocco, I can already see him making a major error again in the Euro... Seriously this guy stinks and can't stop a beach ball ill say it again and again..

Inacio was trash, both goals almost directly fall onto him, his marking, spacing was awful.. First goal he got beat hard, let a weak pass through. Second goal he was out of position and then lets yet another weak pass through, then literally watches his man walk right into the box where he just lets him take a wide open shot. Both goals were arguably the weakest that Costa has ever let in.. Either way that guy sucks hard and should NOT be starting for the Euro... Martinez I know you see this... Trust us, you need to work out Sá in the upcoming June friendlies and start Patricio for the tournament.. We need to move on from Ronaldo, Neves, Felix, Vitinha.. Give Joao Neves a chance, Jota Silva, Pote, Neto if all in form and healthy..

The posts in here are ridiculous. A friendly game where we lost with the b team out and suddenly Martinez is the worst coach of all time and the 10+ game win streak is invalidated.

If anything todays game is a massive positive. I doubt danilo, otavio and neves ever play again. This game has also made it more likely that Ronaldo will not be a starter at the Euro.

The game against Sweden was impressive. Had Ronaldo played that game I doubt we would have been even half as impressive.

And that's my issue... Ronaldo WILL play at the Euro and WC 2022 will repeat itself because no one had the tomates to tell him it's time to hang up his boots.

When Portugal are behind, Ronaldo is no longer the player to win us games, he will just whine and sulk because he's not getting the ball, he's frustrated because he's so damn slow.

That night he stormed off the pitch in 2022 against Morocco, should have been the last time we ever saw him in a tournament.

Martinez will still chose the out of form players from Saudi Arabia.

Hatrick tonight I know it’s the Kamel league before anybody says anything but I notice mid week. He was not getting service players were not passing to him and tonight he had players around him. Even the opposition are younger and faster and he still managed to get a Hatrick with the proper Service

Props to your boy but that league is joke. None of the top players still in their prime run that much or care at all. If CR7 went there 5 years ago, he'd get 10 goals a game.

again, thats because the team plays only for him. The entire league is him. He might be good enough for that there, he's not good enough to have Bruno, Bernardo, Leao, etc etc play exclusively for him.

We have a few issues going into the Euro IMO, but also a few positives.

Costa, Pepe(watch the goal Porto conceded today) Antonio Silva and Dias are in poor form. Ronaldo is scoring but he’s a the camel league, he’s a bench player, and we all know he won’t allow that.

Ramos is now scoring and getting more time at PSG, Mendes appears to be playing well. Hopefully he stays fit, I think we really missed him at the WC.Vitinha also playing well.

Leão is also finding his form again.

    Any other thoughts?

I fully agree with Antonio Silva. I would not start him but luckily we have a deep team. Inacio would be my pick, tbo even when Antonio was playing better, I would give the nod to Inacio. Pepe will be fine, yes he lost a step but With Inacio on on side and Nuno Mendes on the other side he will be well insulated. Im assuming he will start Dalot, Inacio, Pepe and Nuno Mendes. ( toss up between Dias and Inacio but I prefer Inacio) Joao Cancelo may sub in if we need a goal. Dont see that happen in group stage.

Midfield? OMG we have players to play what ever scheme you want. BUT yes, we all know that unfortunately Ronaldo will start. We will win despite that in the group stages but that will harm us in the elimination rounds. I would love to see Ramos and Jota as strikers but Im guessing he starts to Ramos and Ronaldo

Pepe is caught up in the Porto crap so he's really wild at the moment. He shouldn't play so many games IMO but his performance vs Arsenal was high calibre so I'm not worried about him. Diogo Costa hasn't been great lately and hopefully gets sold ASAP.
Dias will be fine too IMO.

Dalot and Inacio are not starting over Cancelo and Dias. Like what?
