🚨 Real Madrid’s interest in Franco Mastantuono is very serious. @relevo 🇦🇷 pic.twitter.com/eAc0KpsXx6— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 27, 2024
Ehh I still think his 2021-2022 season alone was worth it alone. But yea I don't think he'll have the longevity/production at the club the way I think Rudiger will eventually have. Now that by far has been my favorite CB signing in ages.
Need to start getting Argentines back in the club. We haven't had any Argentines since Higuaín and Di María.
Real Madrid have the lowest age in recruitment for first team signings since 2019 compared to all the teams in the Champions League quarterfinals. 🍼👶Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are in the bottom three for the oldest in recruitment signings for the first team since 2019. 👴… pic.twitter.com/3BKfmYPKxK— LaLigaExtra (@LaLigaExtra) March 27, 2024
I know it’s just a random rumor but I don’t get the TAA interest at all, the amount of complaining done about a far better allround RB in Carva if he makes even the tiniest of mistakes, and the constant complaining about players having to “run for two” makes me wonder why anyone here would want TAA, he’s just a disaster waiting to happen off the ball, could care less how attacking he is, with the players we already have plus Endrick and possibly Kylian and Davies to join how much attacking do we really need at the expense of relative solidity when we do not have the ball
🚨🔴 Alphonso Davies’ agent Huoseh: “It’s unfair to receive an ultimatum from Bayern. We will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity”.“It's unfair that Alphonso is now being attacked”, told BILD.“We were close to an agreement a year ago.… pic.twitter.com/nj4jcNAjeh— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) March 28, 2024 Manipulative as hell. You're getting a date to respond because the season is running out. What a weirdo.
I see it as refreshingly honest. He is under contract and don’t need to do shit if he don’t want to, although it’s clear he wants to move or get big money from bayern. If someone if manipulative and full of shit that is bayern when it comes to their transfer policies imo.
This is perfect for us. The more conflictual it gets, the lower the price will be. Let’s bring it down to 20-25 and maybe they will bite because they don’t want this toxicity around next season
You're assuming that he says no to any other offer though, something I personally don't. I don't trust him or his agent yet.
It doesn’t seem like Bayern wants to make another offer. And if you’re talking about offers from other clubs, then I find it hard to imagine another club making a more appealing offer than us to him. Every report indicates we won’t have an issue reaching personal terms with the player. Perhaps other clubs would be willing to pay Bayern more, but why would the player care about that? To me, it’s been pretty consistent all year that he’s been rejecting every offer Bayern proposes and there aren’t other clubs linked with him as substantially as us.
What I mean is, does he stay at Bayern for another year of another club makes a better offer to Bayern than we do, or do we raise our offer to match them? We still have to agree with Bayern about a transfer who will welcome all offers, this isn't a Bellingham situation where they'll kind of work with him to facilitate a move he wants.
That’s a valid concern, but public statements like this from his agent, basically shitting on the practices of the club (whether valid or not), seem to put pressure to allow a departure sooner rather than later
If player has clear preference, other clubs don't bother making a bid against RM and get rejected. Been the case with Kroos, Modric days to Camavinga, Tchouameni, Bellingham. And we don't bother making a bid unless personal terms are already agreed. And if agents encourage a bidding war, we don't even bother like with Pogba. If Romano says personal terms isn't an issue, most often means there's an agreement regarding wages already. His sources are agents usually.
🚨 CONFIRMED: Alphonso Davies will not sign a renewal with Bayern now, decision will be made in the next weeks but it’s a TENSE situation.Real Madrid are now prepared to open talks with Bayern. @FabrizioRomano pic.twitter.com/VhucLDv3aQ— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 28, 2024 🚨 Regarding Alphonso Davies: Real Madrid is waiting with most of the work done. @TheAthleticFC pic.twitter.com/0V0h5ricJ7— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 28, 2024
He had one good season out of 5, as one of the highest paid players in the league. oh, during that CL run who filled in for him when he was injured against city????? Nacho.
This is his 3rd year at the club. A bit harsh to already judge and just discard the next two seasons already without it being played
I don't recall a significant number of people complaining about Dani's tiny defensive mistakes other than ingame heat of the moments though. Anyways, I'm not into TAA, but I understand fans know Dani is aging and needs replacing pretty soon.
Lots of things can happen in a year, so the right back discussion can be revisited closer to next summer. Right now we know it will be Carvajal and Lucas for one more year. I would not mind Kimmich on a free transfer if he is open to playing RB. He has been playing at RB more often for the national team and Bayern recently, and I actually like him at RB. The fact he can also play mid also helps since he can cover for Modric/Kroos vanishing from the squad in the near future. He would sort of end up being a CDM/RB Nacho which works in the near term based on how the squad is built.
Either Castilla needs to get promoted or they need to find another 1st division la Liga outfit to unofficially act a feeder for all the Castilla graduates and promising youngsters. They could have easily had Miguel, Blanco, Marin, and Arribas playing for some mid table La Liga outfit.
I just don’t see it. I’m guessing that the future pair of Militao/Rudiger will be the starting line up, it’s a lot of money to spend on a back up CB who’s declining. Plus his stance on being unwilling to play LB….. Why people here are defending this transfer, I don’t know.
I never understood the hype around TAA. He’s a wingback at best. His best comp would be if Fede had to play RB for a given length of time, but even then I’d take Fede over TAA defensively. The tread on Dani is getting thin, but I think Flo will give him another 2 year extension. Remember this is the boy who laid the first brick at Valdebebas.
Carvajal is going to make a case against Chendo to be considered the best right back in this club's history. So whatever game complaints folks have wont matter in that big picture. Before talking about TAA, I just want to reiterate that I don’t think he comes. And I’ll concede the fact he’s definitely not as defensively sound as Carvajal is. But at the same time people are critical of us renewing Lucas. Well then if you want a new right back, then who is it going to be? The same defensive criticisms and wingback labels that TAA gets can be said about Hakimi, Dumfries, Frimpong, Couto. Its the same conversation no matter the name. It’s the state of the position that doesn’t have any world class players both ways. So if we want to hold the next right back signing to the standard of Carvajal, then we’re going to be waiting forever. We shouldn’t be comparing them to Carvajal, but rather to their counterparts in Europe. Who can we get in the near future that is a better option?
