After I slam Raphinha he has an excellent game for Barca scoring 2 goals (but also playing well). He has definitely been better on the left and through floating through the middle. Pinned on the right not so much.

Just need to find a way to play every winger we have on the left: Vini, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Sávio etc..

With players like Paquetá and Neymar who also tend to be on the left.

On the other side, Marquinhos and Beraldo average to poor today, both disappointing. Edit cause I almost forgot: the other Brazilian who had a solid game today was Samuel Lino, for Atletico Madrid, including what was the winning goal.

E o Real Madrid provou ainda mais uma vez que é gigante.

Dificilmente algum time sul-americano derrotaria este Real Madrid no novo Mundial de Clubes da FIFA (ou o Bayern de Munique ou o Borussia Dortmund).

Alex Sandro plays his 327th and final match for Juventus. Equal with Pavel Nedved for most Appearances for a foreign player.

Was so happy they gave him the armband for this match. What emotion when he was subbed off to a great ovation.

Thiago Motta has been appointed Juventus manager. Juve aren't what they used to be, but quite the rise for Motta. Someone to keep an eye on in terms of coaching the Seleção one day.

This is also one of the reasons I like Douglas Luiz's move to Juventus, as strange as it seems to PL fans. He'll have Danilo and Bremer alongside him and a promising (and different) young Brazilian/Italian coach.

A block of players from the same club certainly cannot hurt.

We are competiting on all fronts next season so we need a deep squad.

I think he should have waited another year but this isn't a bad move. Italian league has gotten much more interesting since the Juve domination ended.

They have for a long time. They won the WC like that though. Only di Maria has some.

Only watching bits and pieces of the game but Argentina looks old but then again Canada are actually playing pretty well. They even tied France a few days ago.

Argentina wins this 1-0 tho lol

Even if they lose, it's still like their World Cup group, where they can still take first despite an opening upset.

With France choking, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany are all on one side of the bracket. England seems to have a clear path to the final although they've been very underwhelming so far.

France have 2 goals in 3 games so far. One own goal and one from the PK spot.

Argentina might have a miserable time tonight. Met Life pitch is supposedly a mess and it's pretty stuffy in NY. Although the game is gonna be at 9pm

The refs in this tournament are shockingly bad. Terrible from CONMEBOL. Uruguay playing a typical South American game

Earlier this week Real Madrid won the European Supercup. Vini had a great match and a beautiful assist for the opening goal. Mbappe got the second.

Today, Danilo (midfielder, Nottingham, former Palmeiras) has had a serious injury, one of those you might not want to see at all, just know it might rule him out for the season. Compound fracture (broken leg) resulting from falling awkwardly on a play early in the opening match today. Not only rules him out from club football for a long time, but means he'll miss a key season for trying to break into the national team ahead of the World Cup. Most importantly though, I hope he recovers well, no matter how long it takes.

Endrick with a nice shot and goal on his first touch as a sub late in the game.

Saw the Danilo injury. Rather gruesome. To bad for him and for Brazil. When he was at Palmeiras he was a moster and one of my favorite players and I hoped he would one day play Brazil.

Endrick scoring on an "ill decided" mid distance shot with Vini and Mbappe as passing options in another cameo appearance. Right after Vini missed a big 1v1 chance too. Mbappe missed some chances as well. He just emasculated both of them ... :ROFLMAO:

This kid has something for 1st time appearances.

Just to add ... Vini was pretty poor overall yesterday. Looked like one of his games for us. Rodrygo on the other hand was pretty good. However, both of them had plenty of space to operate. Completely different from the tactical setups we encounter.

Rodrygo was brilliant yesterday. Wish he played like that for Brazil (however, he plays more centrally for the NT).
