Turbine are almost already relegated, more or less. This was the kind of game where they had to take at least a point.

If Freiburg - Leverkusen 2:3 (not included in ranking) is replayed Leverkusen could be Herbstmeister with a win by 21 goals.
DFB had decided that it should be replayed. Referee let Leverkusen retake a missed penalty (over the bar) because the goalkeeper had left the goalline).
Both soccerway & FOTMOB got Lev with the three points—-hoping that Wolfsburg ends fourth place at the end of the year & fails to qualify for their previous Champions League, That will teach their players to not be part of their club’s pyramid scheme over the rest of the league. Maybe Leipzig had too many Swiss & Austrians?—just putting it out there
The smallest difference between first and fourth place after Hinrunde had been 4 points. 2014/15: Wolfsburg 29, Bayern 27, Frankfurt 25, Potsdam 25 2021/22: Wolfsburg 26, Bayern 25, Hoffenheim 24, Frankfurt 22
Wonder if Stroot will get fired immediately if he looses today? The good thing about it that if WOB fires him right away, it would give them a chance to rebuild over thelong winter break. It Stroot ties or wins today vs Roma, it just stalls the inevitable
Next court says that it should be replayed: "Oskar Riedmayer, the chairman of the DFB Federal Court, says: "The previous ruling of the DFB Sports Court is not objectionable on the part of the Federal Supreme Court. According to Football Law 14 No. 2, the replay of a penalty kick requires that the referee finds, in addition to the fact that the goalkeeper moved too early, that this movement clearly affected the shooter. Thus, the referee had not determined all the facts that were necessary to order the replay of the penalty kick in accordance with the rules. Accordingly, there was a violation of the rules. The referee should therefore not have intervened in the course of the game, but should have continued the game by goal kick." Riedmeyer continued: "In addition, this violation of the rules in view of the timing and the score of the game was highly likely to have influenced the match score. The annulment of the result and the rescheduling of the match by the sports tribunal in accordance with 17 No. 2 of the DFB Rules of Law and Procedure is therefore the correct legal consequence after review."
Not me cu fireworks after the goal, by how much does WaoB need to beat Roma to take the goal differential lead?
Roma won first leg 1:0 so Wolfsburg is through with a 2-goal-win. If Wolfsburg win by 1 they have a 9 goal advantage over Roma (Roma vs Galatasaray and Lyon vs Wolfsburg on last matchday).
