Maybe they know someone is interested in his rights?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. They might be working on a trade within MLS.

San Jose being the first team that comes to mind.

I wonder if they have a potential transfer for Borrero and so have "protected" him for that reason. Better than losing him for nothing, I guess.

Yes. But because of the way MLS works, the revs can keep his expriign contract and trade his rights to a specific team that will send them money back (like $50k GAM) for the privilege of being able to sign him before he becomes a free agent or possibly is claimed by SD in the expansion draft.

We could use a gm that's better at throwing darts. Is Vrioni about to turn a corner?

What I found on Praxedes: 22 year old 6'1 C/A Mid from Brazil. He has played a couple of games with the U16 and U20 national teams. According to Transfermarkt his highest value was 6.5 million and now around 3. He has 134 appearances in the Brazilian top flight with 10 goals. He either has seen a drop in form or out of favor with the manager as he has not played a whole lot in 24'

In my mind Vrioni's corner was located at the beginning of last season. He didn't turn it. I was withholding judgement then, I'm not now. He's junk.

Even with this signing, they still have 10 more open roster spots, so they better start before February!

He's young, so not a ton to go on, but he's never been a guaranteed go to starter at any of his stops. Decent minutes in Colombian top flight and Brazil's Serie A. Currently with the best team in Ukraine, but not getting a ton of run.

According to transfermarkt hell arrive on a $2M fee

For my solution you'd start in the front office, clean out the locker room, and start over from scratch. What's here now is not salvageable!

So, you're saying also get rid of Gil, Chancalay, Bajraktarevic, Ivacic?

Great. Let's hope on of these leads pans out. I was really rooting for him to succeed with the Revs but have given up on him after this season.

Unless they trade out of the draft and bypass Stage 2, The Revs will be adding at least one more player by the end of this week.
    • December 19: Re-Entry Process, Stage 2
    • December 20: 2025 MLS SuperDraft, where Revs have the 5th pick

Well this applies for next season, but since it's the offseason when the news came out ... no Leagues Cup for the Revs in 2025.
