Messina vs Palermo is the posticipo for this week's mid-week action. Looks like it will be shown live on RAI International. I can't wait to see those scenes. I remember watching the same fixture on RAI last year (in Serie B). Of course, now Messina has a new stadium, but it'll still be crazy. I don't think anybody dreamed Messina would be 10 spots in the table ahead of their Sicilian rivals at this point of the season.
Doesn't mean the season is going to end like that. Yes the game is going to be a little heated but woulden't be as bad if one of those teams were playing Catania.

I'm not imagining a "heated" game so much as just cool scenes of singing fans with banners and flares, etc. At least I hope so. Last year, when the two played in Serie B toward the end of the season, it was a relatively tame 1-1 draw, a result which suited both sides as they closed in on promotion. Be interesting to see what happens today.
No live webcasts that I'm aware of, but Yahoo is supposedly going to have it available online in the next 24 hrs. http://sports.yahoo.com/s/soccerpass?p=fbit
0-0 Surely, there was more excitement in the stands. Palermo really, really need to get some help up front. Hppefully, they be able to acquire somebody in the the January window.
Well I guess 0-0 proves that both sides were fighting hard and just cancelled each other out. A part of me was just expecting this to happen...

A disappointing snoozefest. I did enjoy the banners and flares at the start, but unfortunately no other occasions for the crowd to get excited. Toni hit the post and Yanigasawa headed onto the crossbar late, but that was about it. Typical hard-tackling, disjointed derby game which never had any flow about it.
