Does anyone know? I know the Crew have around 10,000 season ticket holders (that's also why all of their games are over 10K).
Chicago had 4300 last year and expected to pass that by 10-15% this year. http://www.virtual-soccer.com/metro02/metro629.html Once again, too bad about the crash-- we had a lot of this information before.
Wizards are at a little over 4000. It should be noted that "season tickets" is a somewhat misleading number. It's really "Full Season Equivalents" (FSEs). Full season tickets count as 1. Partial season plans (weekend games only, etc.) are converted into whatever fraction of 1 they represent.
Actually the Crew had 9,282 season tickets in 1999, the first year of Crew Stadium, and approximately 9,000 in 2000 and 2001.
Sam, would this be the highest season ticket mark for the Wizards? As for the league, we are doing much better as a whole than in the old days. LA continues to be a weak spot for season ticket sales, but one would hope that the new stadium would generate a few more season ticket sales.
I'm pretty sure it's this year, although maybe in '96 they had more, but I doubt it. And if we did have more it couldn't have been much more at all.
