I thought you could do with one, seeing as the other two have them. Post all transfer rumours, player ins and outs here....
Re: OL Transfer Thread sometimes the best news... is no news. (unless you count the cancellation of viale's contract so he can finish the season at istres...) http://www.olweb.fr/index.php?lng=en&a=23693&pid=101002
Re: OL Transfer Thread that was to quash the departure rumors. as for the arrivals, i've already said i thought OL would stand pat. but on OLTV, houllier said that there would absolutely be an acquisition before the 31st, in one sector (didn't say which...) but there is one name furiously flying around the OL boards and elsewhere: KOMPANY! this makes sense, because if OL may seem set on all lines, it's in the back where they're the most fragile: abidal is out, (so is RVR, but only 3 weeks), diatta will have the CAN, and cacapa's knee is always a question mark. the other name we hear is less believable but just as tasty: yaya touré from olympiakos. if ged hadn't said there would be an arrival i wouldn't have believed in one. and i don't think he's talking about jerome bonissel!
Re: OL Transfer Thread I dont think they can afford to stay pat. If they were knocked out of the Champions League then I would but the need one one or 2 signings to strengthen their chances in the C1. I still wanna know if they will sign a replacement for Frau.
Re: OL Transfer Thread well, now the hot item seems to be Niko Kranjcar (21), who presently plays for Hadjuk Split. according to rumors he kind of a croatian kaka, and the price is right, release clause 2.5M€. as for a replacement for frau, if one was needed he wouldn't have left. after carw and fred, there's wiltord after all. not counting the need to give benzema match time. up front, with different permutations, OL is already 3 deep everywhere.
Re: OL Transfer Thread Krankjar at 2.5 mill euros is a steal. Very solid AMC, though we seem to have a few of those already. He's the type of guy whom Lyon will be able to sell for 10-20 million euros if he comes here and succeeds. I am hearing that Lyon are interested in Silvestre now that Manchester Utd have that Eastern European guy in defense. I'd like the move because Cris and Cacapa could use the occasional rest, plus Silvestre gives us much-needed left-back insurance for when Abidal gets injured again.
Re: OL Transfer Thread Thats true about Abidal. I think Sylvestre would be a good signing despite the fact that he's not popular in France due to his miserable WC performance.
Re: OL Transfer Thread Are we talking about Mikael "I give up at least 1 penalty per game" Silvestre here? Please stop. Toure, Kompany, yes. Silvestre=disaster.
Re: OL Transfer Thread he's not joking you know! ithis definition is in the latest edition of la grande larousse!

Re: OL Transfer Thread Lyon seems to be interested in getting Glen Johnson from Chelsea on loan. L'Equipe article: (in french) Réveillère being injured, Diatta playing for Senegal in the African Nations Cup we do need a right fullback. Anyone has seen that player lately ?
Re: OL Transfer Thread Worst move ever if that comes off. Glen Johnson is crap. Not the type of player Lyon want. Better off throwing a youngster in.
Re: OL Transfer Thread i think clerc put paid to any johnson rumors last night. diatta may not get his spot back when the CAN is over!
Re: OL Transfer Thread If Clerc gets injured (or Monsoreau) we're screwd… I must admit i have been impressed by Clerc against Marseille, we've barely seen Ribéry
Re: OL Transfer Thread actually he had a lot of help from diarra to contain ribery; what was impressive was that as soon as he saw he had a bit of freedom he went forward and got involved in the attack. considering his youth, one might have feared some hesitation... there was none.
Re: OL Transfer Thread Silvestre is the most inconsistent defender I've probably ever seen!!! What, 7m euros? I'm telling you he is never gonna make up for that money. He should keep rotting across the Channel..
Re: OL Transfer Thread nothing in l'équipe, nothing on skysports or bbc football pages... the only thing i can find is a blurb in maxifoot (otherwise known as maxifoutaise) citing "the english press"... sounds very shaky to me.
Re: OL Transfer Thread They need another defender with experience and not some young guy. When everyone is healthy Abidal, Cris, Cacapa, and Rev. are your starters and Silvestre is a good 5th guy to have. He's better than Monsereau, Diatta, and Berthod.
Re: OL Transfer Thread lyon on a high horse because the english press says they're after silvestre? which is probably patently false? nothing in any reputable french source, and obviously no statement at all from OL. and a quick look at an olweb forum thread on the subject... http://forum.olweb.fr/showthread.php?p=672861#post672861 where this is treated as the most ridiculous rumor this winter, and there have been plenty!
Re: OL Transfer Thread Somebody get this clown out of here. ------------------------------------------------------ Re: Silvestre. You don't want him. Did any of you see the Manchester derby? The time has finally come when we can say that a player is good enough for Manchester United but not good enough for Lyon. Silvestre is one such player. Re: Kompany. Good luck. You know as well as I do who will bid the most for him. Sorry, it's unfortunate for you, but that's how it is these days. A name I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned: Robert Huth. He'd be perfect. He's good, but he's not getting minutes for Chelsea and he wants to play at a big club so he can get ready for the WC. He, not Johnson, is the Chelsea defender you should be trying to get on loan.
Re: OL Transfer Thread Play nice everyone. if you want to discuss this pointless debate elsewhere then do so. Don't ruin a thread meant for transfer talk. Ta.
