This game is being shown on delayed coverage by Sky here in NZ at 8.30am, so at least I'll be able to watch it at a civilised time! Gabbidon is still out but should be fit for the Wigan game on Wednesday, the possible line up against Pompey might be:

    Carroll
    Repka
    Konchesky
    Ferdinand
    Collins
    Mullins
    Etherington
    Noble/Bellions
    Reo-Coker
    Zamora
    Harewood
According to the skysports match preview the player to watch out for is Barry Zamora? I didn't know Bobby had a Brother who plays for us!!

    UP THE HAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all had a good christmas. Seems like we are a bit defensive with Newton in. Wonder if thats the Robert factor worrying Pardew?

I think any team with Lauren Robert is a team ready to be beaten. The man is a king size jerk and not a team player. But we need to be far more positive

Oh Bugger! New coach effect. I cant imagine Pardew allowing the players too much Christmas pud.

    Fvck.
Newton is a poor substitute for Yossi. I would have liked to have seen Bellion as a straight swap. At least it would have laid out our intentions.
Is Reo-Coker playing? Havn't heard from him.

I think he is buried in a shallow grave in the centre of the pitch. I think Pardew has been out-thunk. We need to stop playing not to lose and actually play to win

Obviouslywe all agree about Newton. I think its the H effect on players like Robert worrying Pardew. We should attack them out of the game.

Its possible thatr everyone forward of Repka is buried in a shallow grave in the centre of the pitch.

For those interested. I'm drinking Young's London Ale, whilst feeding a hangover bred on a mixture of CHilean Cabernet, Young's London Ale, Champagne, Wild Turkey and becks. I had a rather indecisive christmas day
