what formation would you like to see in TM? 4-5-1 -------------hashemian--------------- ---------------karimi------------------ -madanchi-----------------mahdavikia- --------nekounam---teymourian-------- -sadeqhi-------------------------kaebi- ----------rezaei-------nosrati---------- ---------------mirzapour--------------- i think this is perfect except for left mid but its better than putting another striker (we all saw how our other strikers are in asian games).
Good, except I'd either switch Madanchi with Zandi (which probably won't happen), or I'd put Karimi at right mid and Mobabli at attacking mid. I think Mobali's played quite well as of late.
Persianfootball jan, I like your formation and it is my ideal one. It is a 4-4-1-1 though, isn't it? I think Karimi is capable of supporting Hashemian from behind, especially if he regains his pace. In this formation I think if it were to be utilized today all the choices would be obvious with the exception of left wing. Madanchi was the choice but he hasn't been used lately. I hated Borhani in the games but if he learns that of the 21 other people on the field half are his team-mates perhaps he could be usable on left wing, na? why not try it? Also, if we get Dejagah (salavat ) he is also capable of playing in that position. I was thinking of some experimental formations (just brainstorming, not suggesting the use of these but rather thinking out loud about the various players' capabilities and how they are used in their clubs): 4-2-2-2 -------------------Mirzapoor Kaabi-------Nosrati----------Rezai-------Sadeghi ----Mahdavikia----------Nekoonam -----------------Andranik----------Borhani/Madanchi -------------Karimi/Shojaie-------Hashemian Also this, for only the players that will still be around in 6 or so years (in the rare event that no young prodigies come to attention), or the young players of right now (3-6-1 of sorts): ----------------------------Mirzapoor -------------Hosseini--------Nosrati-------Akbari -------Kaabi--------------------------------------Aghili --------------------------Nekoonam -------------------------Andranik -----Kazemian-------------------------------------Madanchi/Borhani --------------------------Daei p)---okay see we need a good striker!
Based on the assumption that both Mirzapour and Rezaei are fit to play this is as good as any. Although I think Karimi is finished. He has not had a good game since December of 2005 when he injured his ankle. I may also replace madanchi with Nikbakht. He has been having a good run lately, but Madanchi will do just fine if he keeps his head up more and find the open man in the middle.
Karimi is no longer the player we would all show clips of to our friends to showoff what our hamvatans could do but rather than comparing him to his old self, what if we compare him to other players? Do you still think he is bad? He still does get past defenders like when he should have scored that goal in seoul, and he still can make good passes. Remember in the portugal game, karimi on one leg chased the ball through two portuguese players towards Iran's goal and then did this wonder pass opposite the direction he was traveling in to Madanchi? That was kindof a wakeup call to Portugal that we possessed quality. I would have liked to see somebody like Shojaie (Karimi's successor???) tried out in the Taiwan and second leg of the South Korea games personally!
Hi Faran jAn, (Like me) You are all over the place aren't you? Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see Karimi be the great one that we all wish him to be, but sadly he has faded away. He will most likely be sitting on the bench in Bayern for the rest of the season, and after that move to UAE which is not known for developing great players. Shojaei was tagged to be the next great one, but something happened. It looks like he was just put aside. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors in Iranian football.
guys karimi is NOT finished. he played 1 half against benfica and marseille (really good teams) and was on of the better bayern players. he just needs to move to an average european club, work hard, and lead them.
Now that Deisler has retired and Brazzo is going to move to Juventus soon, there is a slight hope that he might be asked to come back next year.
if zandi get invited, he should replace niki. if dejagah gets invited, he should replace borhani. i like a 3-5-2 formation as our football has lots of talented midfielder that can be used. 4-4-2 or other balanced formations will force us to leave out either teymourian or nekounam. i don't like kaebi nor niki...but kaebi is no real contender for the left wing position so that leaves us with the over-weight niki. if only our coaches weren't stubborn enough to invite zandi back, at least he's physically in shape.
i meant whats with the 3 defence system... if you take out nikki and put kaebi as RB that will be way better. kaebi was one of our best players at the world cup.
i disagree, i don't like kaebi's tyle of game...he goes in zig zags and doesn't really again anything. he only has speed. now if we take out niki and put kaebi. who will cover the left wing?
that's your personal preference...but if i was a coach and was going to put a wing player, i would put a right footer on the right and a leftie on the left...just my style i guess. karimi needs to be at the point to be able to distribute balls and dribble into the box directly.
My/Best Formation : 3-1-4-2 -------Enayati - Borhani------- ---Zandi/Niki-Karimi-Mobali-Mahdavikia-- ---------Nekounam/Teymourian-------- --Husseini---Rezaei---Kaebi------- --------Mirzapour/Roudbarian-------
that will work against laos but we will get scored on a lot on other teams. plus, both nekounam and teymourian deserve to start.
