China will play in group D. Other teams are Vietnam, Syria and lebanon. Schedule of the games : 14/01/2009 Syria vs Chine 28/01/2009 Chine vs Vietnam 14/11/2009 Lebanon vs Chine 18/11/2009 Chine vs Lebanon 06/01/2010 Chine vs Syria 03/03/2010 Vietnam vs Chine
China has a fighting chance but may not finish top because Syria seems to have caught up and is now in the second tier of Asian soccer. Lebanon is probably the weakest and Vietnam is capable of causing an upset. Unless by 2009 China has done some real reform.
Vladimir petrovic is out, CFA said once they will not renew the Dujkovic's contact after OG, so who u think they will hire and r they will change their mind for Dujkovic
Dujkovic messed up the NT. The way he played the Olympic team kids in the Qatar match was retarded. But he did that because he is a bad coach period or because he cared about his Olympic squad more is an open question in my mind. I think the CFA is more to blame for messing up the NT with the stupid decision of letting the Olympic team coach to interfere with the coaching of the NT. So, if he is able to show up for the Olympics as a quality coach, I think maybe it's not that bad of an idea to give him another shot.
After taking over the Olympic team from Jia Xiuquan, Dujkovic did not produce any impressive results. My prediction for the Olympic group results is as follows: Draw with New Zealand; Beaten by Belgium; Trounced by Brazil. I sincerely hope I will be proven wrong but with Dujkovic in charge I think this is very likely. Dujkovic will go and CFA will dilly dally with the appointment of a new coach as they always do and finally settle for a local coach (maybe Jia).
if jia take the team we r so dead, when he was on charge of the U23 team he played a defense football, boring to death
Dujkovic was chosen for the Olympics, and judging by his incompetence up to this point only the Olympics can bail him out. If by some brilliance display of coaching by Dujkovic the Olympics team managed to go far then maybe it's not a bad thing to let him stay. If he's gone, a local coach is fine by me. Jia was a defender on the NT so it's not a surprise it's his first instinct to play defensive soccer. Hao Haidong as the coach would be more offensive minded. I'd love for the CFA to give Hao a shot. Now that the Olympics is out of way and no short term performance pressure, Hao should have enough time to do the right things, if he is indeed the man to do the right things for Chinese soccer as I think he is.
Although a defender Jia Xiuquan scored many goals for China. In fact some of the tournaments he played in for China he scored more goals than anybody else, including the strikers. Hao Haidong on the other hand may pay too much attention to attack and neglect the defence. No point scoring one and letting in three.
Jia had his chances coaching the U23 team already and all he did was defensive soccer. I hope that's not what Hao has in mind, otherwise, yeah, forget about him.
He is better looking than Soh Chin Aun. Being ugly men is not a problem though. Both Hao and Soh are big towkays now.
Being ugly has nothing to do with whether the person was a good coach or not. Actually wait, Avram was crap and he wasn't exactly prince charming so you do have a slight point :
Is qualification two rounds? I suppose the first round is easy, not that we will steam roll over them but Syria and Lebanon should take points off each other so that will help us when we draw those teams at home...
the second round is the one who gonna started to play in january, i think china can started to fear syria, if they play liake last year against them. Lebanon succes to get 0-0 last time we play them and it will not be easy to win and vs Vietnam it should be easier but lets remember the Thailand Fiasco
