Russel's team has a huge win 2-0 and continues the climb up. now they are 3rd from last, behind on differential and only one about the next team up. he seemed to struggle, he got a 3 from VG. he has been better this year.
http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/norsk/eliteguiden/ is a great spot, but it is in norge. you can also get english match reports at http://www.norwaypost.no robert ps--go timbers! i was a timbers fan in the 70s when the REAL timbers played!!
you like norwegian football? it is pretty fun. the old timbers were pretty cool, they used to get a lot of people at the old civic stadium, it was a lot of fun. they were super popular.
Since the arrival of Marco Reda from the Lynx, Songdal's defence really seems to have tightened up. This should stand them in good stead in the relegation battle.
Since the break they have really been on fire. I think they haven't lost since. Another win and they could be well out of the relegation zone. I don't really know this Reda.
Sogndal have 3 wins and 1 loss since the break. The wins have all come at home; the one loss on the road. 07/28 SOGNDAL - Vålerenga 2-0 07/31 SOGNDAL - Molde 2-1 08/04 Bodø/Glimt - SOGNDAL 2-1 08/11 SOGNDAL - Stabæk 2-0 Even with this good run, they still sit 12th out of 14 teams with 9 rounds remaining. Sogndal will be on the road for 6 of those 9. Two of their home matches are against Lyn and Rosenborg--the top two teams. And their road record so far is a terrible 0W-1D-6L, so they definitely still have a lot of work to do.
i forgot they lost to bodo. i follow lyn so i don't focus on the other clubs much. i guess home has been kind to them. they are only a point or two back of the next team up. this has been a fun series so far, i just hope lyn can jump back up on RBK. the new coach sucks.
