If nothing else, you guys should hang a bigass banner over the railing with "Fire Andrulis" painted in big red letters. A lot of people in the front office might be 50/50 as to what to do with Andrulis at this point, and seeing something like that--and in front of the whole ESPN2 audience, no less--might be enough to sway them. C'mon, do it.
Greg is Gone 50/50 at this point? Why? There is no excuse for this group of guys not to be in the playoffs. Fire him! I'll be yelling it at my TV out here in the desert! KC-- Thanks for nothing. Weak.
I thought the Fire fans will be shouting FIIIIIIRRREEEE FIRRRRRRRREEE. Might as well be cheering for the FIRE. What's in a name, it's all relative.
The Crew has missed the playoffs twice in four years under Jim Smith's watch. Shouldn't he be partly responsible as well?
i'm watching the game, and that crowd should get the point across perfectly that columbus won't support a loser.
Perhaps 15,000 fans wore their "empty seat" Halloween costume to "Boo with the Crew" day. ----------------------------------------- WE HAVE A MASSIVELY EMPTY STADIUM
Was anybody else amazed how much exposure some of the banners and signs got on the big screen at the south end? I saw the guy w/the bag over his head, a handwritten sign that said "mediocrity blows", and I think they even put the "Sack Andrulis" banner up there at one point. Was the feed to that thing controlled by ESPN or by a CCS person? If the latter, I wonder if he/she will still be working there tomorrow.
I missed the Fire Andrulis banner but I distinctly heard the Fire Andrulis chant, lasting for about 7 seconds until ESPN turned down the mic on the field.
North End. And I think someone found out about it. Some dollar-an-hour usher found out and threatened to kick us out. To which he promptly got a chorus of "f you's". those people just want to give us whatever trouble they can. something should be done about/to them. Big props to everyone involved, especially the guys at the tunnel post-game.
I winder why they brought out the special booths for the benches. I don't think I've ever seen them in MLS play at CCS before. To protect Greg from "fan abuse" maybe?
I meant the screen was at the south end -- you know, the big video on the scoreboard? I was quite surprised that they showed so much anti-Crew-staff sentiment on what I suppose is a corporately controlled display. By the way, what happened in the North End in about the 7th minute? Saw what looked like a fight and the cops escorting at least one guy out.
