Should have just about everyone available I think and its back to back home games. Unfortunately the Sounders have yet to string together a couple even half way decent performances so I'm very skeptical.

Well... In that case, we should be due for a halfway decent performance.

Looking at the standings this is an important game.

    - If we lose, we risk falling as much as 7 points out of the last playoff position. We don't want to dig too deep a hole so soon.
    - We've also not yet beat a Western conference team (0-1-4).

It's not do or die but a win would go a long ways to making the season a bit more comfortable.

OK, I'm feeling better now. We're not looking quite as bad as we were at the start of the season.

Agreed the offense looked better but G. Woodwork was our defensive MOTM. Relying on poor finishing by opponents is not a championship-winning strategy. What's the word on Torres these days?

The last I heard was that he was progressing as planned and they were still hoping for a return sometime in June.

A couple thoughts/observations from this game:
Aaron Kovar's role in the first goal. I don't think he has gotten the credit he deserves. I was on the sideline for that one. The defender was HANGING all over him. I was AMAZED that he was able to hang on to the ball, let alone find Morris. His perseverance set up that whole chain of events that led to the goal. Once Morris got it, it was a no-brainer to pass it to Friberg. For Friberg, if he did not have the open shot, it was a no-brainer to the open Dempsey. Good vision by Friberg to fing him, excellent work by Dempsey to get open (ball watching sleepy defense by SJ too)... which leads me to my second thought/point.
Dempsey was an absolute Tasmanian devil in the first half. Wow. I want to see more of that.
