    :D

    I'll start it off with the latest linking with Digi's favorite, Klaas.

    Seriously though, what's wrong with this guy that he hasn't been at any club, since leaving Holland, for more than a season?

    Also Fabiano has gone back to Brazil, so that's another target gone.

    Who are your preferred transfer targets?

    Llorente, so that Bale and Lennon can cross to him to head in the goals? :D

    I like Barrios and Stefan Kießling. Adebayor would also be ok with me.

    If we opted against Huntelaar last season, can't see the club wanting him now. We need a new striker or two, but he's been mediocre in Germany after two mediocre seasons in Italy and Spain. Maybe if he was dirt cheap / out of contract.

    There was an article in the Metro about a week or so ago saying Atletico Madrid will offer us Forlan & Aguero for 40mil. I'd bite their f'ing hand off.

    40 million for both? That amount is likely to be the min bid for only Aguero.

    Forlan would be good for us right now. I think he'll be better than he was at United and he would say the same. I think for Bale, VdV, and Lennon to really thrive, we need a good striker and Forlan fits the bill so long as he doesn't cost 40 million

    Anyone in favour of getting a new left back before all is said and done as well?

    I don't mind Benny, think he's been one of the most consistent defenders we've had this year (in-game, not necessarily game to game). I wouldn't consider LB as a position that demands addressing in the summer window.

    Bale can play there, as can Bassong if needed.

    A young-ish backup maybe? It's not exactly easy to find solid LBs.

    I'd bring in Taiwo and let him and Benny fight for the spot.

    i still think we could use a LB. BAE has played every game except for 2 or 3. he's gonna get burnt out.

    a LB and a striker are my top priorities this summer. and please no charlie adam.

    As mentioned, we have Bale and Bassong who can do a job at LB. If we can identify a Kyle Walker-type prospect then I wouldn't say no, but we need to focus on getting two top-notch strikers. One of whom must be the finished article already.

    Joe Mattock from West Brom could be a good prospect. Doesn't Kyle Naughton play LB as well?

    He sure is :) I think a second left-back would be good for cover for BAE. Bale could play there, but as we've seen, he's much much more effective in attack.

    I still think we need another striker though. Pav is likely on his way out this summer and Crouch and Defoe are inconsistent....bottom line

    Oscar Wendt anyone?

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT4eaYnwmwE"]Oscar Wendt[/ame]

    His contract with Copenhagen is done at the end of the year. If signed, he'd be a starter, not an insurance policy.

    As for striker, how about another Swede? Ola Toivonen:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fm9Kc-yYnU"]Ola Toivonen[/ame]

    Yes, it's the Dutch league but you can't deny that the first two goals (starting at 0:35) are world class. As you can see with his speed, he can play attacking mid as well as striker which is his primary position. Liverpool target under Hodgson, rumours that Arse are interested as well. Daily Mail reported that PSV wanted £8million (money you get recoup by selling Crouch + Keane if West Ham stays up?) and has two years left on his deal after this season. Stands 6'3 which makes up a bit for size if Crouch is sold. Also, he's 24 years of age and is probably going to become Sweden's top attacking player in two years time.

    We need a big striker who has wonderful ball skills. I have no idea who that would be. We need someone who is good in the air because that is a big part of our game so that is what we should look for. Berbatov was perfect for the way we play, but now we need to start trying to find another gem like that.
