Yeah. Boy, for some reason or other, this seemed like the longest off-season ever. And am I alone in thinking this is one of most-anticipated MLS seasons since the first? ------RM
yee MLS predictions: San Jose gets third overall, and wins MLS cup FC Dallas wins supporter shield, loses in semifinals Houston wins wooden spoon Seattle continues to win USOC since no one cares for it. Philly makes playoffs, Portland, Vancouver dont.
After months of asking "Is it March yet?" it is finally here. Tonight will be a blast. I found at the Cascadia Summit matches that my voice is very out of shape. It took most of that first game to be able to yell at volume again without my voice giving out.
Predictions: - LA Galaxy will not win MLS Cup. - More people will complain about a lack of a club in the Southeast.
This guy said it better ............... Sammamish Sports Fans: Season Begins in Soccer-Mad Pacific Northwest Patch.com
That makes two of us. Too bad they're on at the same time! Dude it, took forever to get here! For some reason it seems like there's so much on the line for this season. I don't mean just for certain teams, but for the league in general.
I've just watched SportsCenter on ESPN.I guess I missed 5-10 minutes of the 60 minutes SC.I didnt see any news about the today's game.Strange, because they televise the game.I have to admit, that ESPN on First Take had the Commisioner as guest.
Big ASSHOLES at MLS for having the first kick and the most important game in MLS's history practically at the same time. I'm so pumped for RSL-Saprissa game.....come on Royals.
That off-season went by quickly. Nonetheless I'm glad the new season is upon us. Good luck to everybody this season.
Tonight's Seattle/LA game might be quite a sight weather-wise. I was just pulled away from my computer to see what the heck was going on outside, it sounded like someone was shoveling gravel against my window. It turned out to be a rain/hail mix being blown directly at my window. It was coming down so hard that I could not see the building across the street. I sure hope this lets up before game time.
they had Beckham on last night with a couple of comments about tonight's opening game. it must have been pre-taped, because supposedly the Galaxy flew into Seattle yesterday morning. like everyone else, can't wait for tonight's game. hope the weather settles down a bit and doesn't put too much of a damper on proceedings. hopefully ESPN will NOT be giving the score of the CCL game, as I will be watching that game immediately after the MLS opener finishes.
Are you ready for Tuesday Night Soccer, There's going to be a party, We got Galaxy and Sounders to get this started, Are You Ready for some Soccer.
Pretty much lol. Remember that NYRB game awhile back when it snowed? Ahhh those memories... Was that Angel's first MLS game in a NYRB jersey?
ill be watching the LA-Sea game on my tv and hopefully streaming the RSL-Saprissa game on my computer depending on how well my schools internet decides to work tonight, but over I cant wait! the seasons finally here and without a doubt its going to be the best season in the leagues history
I was paying at the cash register in the cafeteria at work and glanced at the TV briefly and I saw a commercial for the First Kick on ESPN
It may have been, but I think it was one of the years where the first game was played in monsoon-like conditions (I know, that's most of them... )
on a side note, apparently seattle has released Blaise Nkufo right before first kick http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/sounders-cut-ties-swiss-forward-nkufo
For starters, the RSL game was the first leg of a two leg match-up, I would say that the away leg is far more important. 2. I'm sure MLS had scheduled the L.A./Sounders match long before RSL went through in the C.L. C. This is MLS/SUM we're talking about. Do you know what's important to MLS/SUM? MLS/SUM! I'm sure when it comes right down to it, they couldn't give a crap about the CCL. That may suck, but that's how it's always been.
