I am new here to, I just graduated from college and now I am an Athletic Director at a High School. Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I also played soccer in college (captain, team went to finals but lost) anyway hello everyone!
hey guys you might know me as robbie savage, football superstar! please direct any questions you might have to me! thanks!
Division III unfortunately.. should have went Division I but I decided I had wanted to go to a place where I knew I would start and play all four years without a problem. Sitting on the bench was always a pain for me and I hated being subbed off, so going to a Division I school and possibly red shirting a year and all that jazz didnt seem fun for me. Any who, my coach.. who also coaches the youth team for the New England Revolution wanted me to play USL but the job security as an Athletic Director and pay seemed better.. but I will be training and trying out just to say I have done it.
Where are you from? Ive been through college soccer as I have recently graduated... A lot of people look down on Division III soccer because they dont think its as competitive as Division I soccer. Be aware that many Division III teams are better or just as good as Division I teams. Now im not talking about the UConns and Akrons. If you are looking for something serious but wont consume your whole life then choose Division III. If youre looking for something that will consume your whole life, every day. Then Division I is for you. Ive been on ranked teams growing up in New York and I still chose Division III because of reasons I stated in my earlier post. Anyway when youre looking for colleges please note that it doesnt matter what Division you play, all the matters at the end of the day is the degree you have and where that will take you. Also dont pick a college just for soccer, make sure you like the campus and feel like you could be there for the next four years. If you need any help, feel free to ask questions
