This article was from a few days ago and you can tell it was written by someone who has less insight than your average Big Soccer lurker. First of all, Jermaine Jones did not dis the fans. He answered a question in a truthful manner about how things are perceived here. While we fans would have loved to have the 2014 version of Jones back, that ship sailed a long time ago. And not to defend the Krafts, but it is not easy to build a stadium anywhere in the Boston area. It took the Bruins and Celtics about 30 years to get a replacement built for the Boston Gahhdin, and Kraft was thwarted when he tried to build Gillette in South Boston. Also it costs a lot of money and in all honesty, I can understand why the Krafts are reluctant to spend $250-$300 million when they already have a (crap) stadium for their I-forgot-we-even-have-a-team investment. This article (like the Wahl piece on Ambition) point out the obvious, that it would be great if the Revs had a stadium comparable to what 17 other teams have, they miss the point. The point is that the Revs are a crap organization that does everything in a crap, half-assed (sometimes even quarter-assed) way. There are a ton of "little" things the team could do that would make a huge difference that don't cost a lot of money or don't take a lot of effort. But they don't do them. Ever listened to a Revs "radio" broadcast? Funny how the announcers are so good at mimicing the voices of the TV guys, Brad Feldman and Paul Mariner. Especially when they say things like "...and you can see here on the replay, oh, yeah... Hmmm..." The only way I can tell something is happening is by the crowd noise. The only reason they have "radio" is because someone wrote it into the contract with the "Flagship station of the New England Patriots" I bet the ratings are in the negative numbers.
I respect Steve Davis. And for going back after plastic turf, I'm going to bake him some zucchini bread with lots of love. But yeah: "The point is that the Revs are a crap organization that does everything in a crap, half-assed (sometimes even quarter-assed) way."

Maybe the Dallas Morning News should focus on their own attendance issues at FCD rather then discussing our empty corporate-paid seats in Houston. FCD can't even sell out a reduced capacity, 16,000 seat Toyota Stadium on Opening Day with arguably the most talented roster in MLS.
Since this article conveniently mentioned FC Dallas's announced attendance at 14,248, let's compare that to the other MLS team in the state before this writer tries to put this at a "Texas" thing. Houston Dynamo average attendance in 2015 = 20,658 Week 1: New England Revolution @ Houston Dynamo = 21594 Week 2: FC Dallas @ Houston Dynamo = 21,601 So for the record, this writer shouldn't be bringing anyone else into this. If there's an EmptyTown, the population is only Frisco, bro.
