How does US Club regional series compare to US Y regional series... My feeling is US Y regional series is much more prestigious and competitive. Many of the tops teams/clubs are absence from this years club region "2" tournament being held this weekend in Indianapolis.
Like Peoria to London. Although in fairness, while U.S. Club has only a small percentage of the strongest teams, and U.S. Y has most of them, that can still make for a pretty good tournament at the U.S. Club national level.
I second what soccerworld had to say...Its a place for the kids to keep playing thru out the summer. For those teams that did not win State Cup, and there are some good teams, they get to keep playing all summer long. And have something to play for.
in my mind there is not much doubt that us y regionals beat out club... the teams that compete in us y are better then those in club, but us club regionals is still a competitive and fun tourniment
You guys kill me, who is better at this and that. What does a youth player that wins wins wins get?? A bonus? Is it always about winning?? Do you live thru your kids youth soccer career?? Will your Johnny and Jenny get the million $ sponser so they do not have to attend college because they have won a Natl Championship at USYSA?? Well lets start the debate then, is Magic better than Texans?? One plays in Region II and the other plays in Region III. Give me a break.
Coming from a Shattucks-St Mary's advocate that just cracked me up............ Coals to Newcastle........ If memory serves me right Magic are in US Club and Y-League not to mention the GCSL and a few othes lesser leagues DAP something or other ........
