I was wondering if anyone knows where this game will be televised? or will it be televised? This is a huge Champions League clash, and I'd love to see "Run DMB" play. I've been going through withdrawal ... thanks.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Sentana Pub Channel on delay at 5pm ... http://www.setanta.com they've got a search for pubs near you or call your favorite soccer bar and ask them. If you ever want to know if a game will be/is televised go to http://www.soccertv.com/
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Thanks ... I'll check out those links. I just got all the Fox Sports channels and GOLTV via Comcast Digital Cable, so I was wondering if it would show up on one of those channels.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal There might be a webcast on one of the links(MBC?) in the Korea forum. That's been the case for a couple of PSV's CL games.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Someone came up with an ESPN international webcast that worked great for the Arsenal vs. Rosenburg game.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal No idea about the webcast, but I'll have the game on tape-delay here midweek. It's on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Melbourne time, if you guys wouldn't mind waiting for my report. ESPN Int'l (Pac. Rim) listings for Thursday, Nov. 25
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Good thing about them showing ManU vs. Lyon is that we might get to see Spector and Howard. From the perspective of the Yanks Abroad forum... I guess that's a win-win situation?
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal I'm watching an ESPN international, Chinese, webcast of Liverpool's last champions league game so if there's a chance they'll show PSV I'll give the link on game day.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Bumb Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink out due to separated shoulder. Farfan still in Peru on personal business. Maybe Bease can start and redeem himself. BTW assuming the Greeks win against Rosenborg , a tie or loss with Arse is imaterial to PSV. The Greeks would have to win the last game in both cases. The only way PSV can stay out of reach of the Greeks is to win against Arse. It will be interesting to see if Gus agrees with me and goes out for the win. I presume he'll play it safe the first half and then open up the start of the second. OTOH..... go get 'em quick might be more appropriate given Arse's recent form. Game is a sellout.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Well, I've never done PBP on BS. But I'll have it live on ESPN here in Africa. So, I'll check back to see if a more qualified PBP man has stepped-up. If not, I'll give it a go. See you later this week. edit=> Full disclosure: As a Chi Fire fanatic, I'll work to keep the Bease exploits in perspective.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Farfán is back, he was training with the group this morning in Eindhoven.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal Rule of thumb, as it's applied with me in the past: If you've got the live broadcast of a match that you know no one else can get, especially in the States, go for it, as it pertains to the PbP. And since I don't get the game until 3:30 p.m. Thursday tape delay, Melbourne time, and it's not the live game back home, I'd have to say that you're the man.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal In case anyone is searching for this on ESPN, let me correct my post. I'm not getting from them. I'm getting it courtesy of South Africa Broadcasting Corp's Supersport channels. Please forgive me, it's unlike me to erroneously give ESPN credit for anything.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal I love super sport. Only station I've found to regularly run live cricket matches in their entirety. Leave for work, the match is on, come home, the match is on, wake up the next day, the match is on. Don't get the game at all, but you gotta give folks credit for playing three day long matches. I get the game live as well, so I could help with the PBP, assuming I'm not on the road, which is a bad assumption. It would be help, however, as I get the game in the odd german way of getting a game, which means I actually get every game, all at the same time, on the same channel. Sometimes that's six small boxes on the screen, usually it's cutting back and forth between the action, meaning I'd have all the points of interest, but would miss the flow and having any real perception on how DMB looks.
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal I think Hiddink is saying to Bease: "Now, you need to stay on your two feet in this game..."
Re: PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal "so remember. BIG breakfast in the moring, junk food at mid day, and A HUGE DINNER! psst. By the way if you wanna gain some pounds fast. I know this place down right there, you know 2 BLOCKS away from my house, where heheheh let's just say you can smoke the pounds in ya! jejejejejejejej" Guss a pot head?? who would have known...
Pretty good going from last-place Chicago Fire in down-trodden (tongue-in-cheek) MLS to being one of the 2 players that are looked to in helping you defeat arguably Europe's best team last year (Euro troubles aside) in the most prestigious European championship.. And all within a few months...
Not to mention leaving the coaching genius of Dave Sarachan -- "DMB - let's have you mainly help out Orlando Perez on defense and occasionally you can try a one-two with Damani ... what's that you say, Damani doesn't do 'two' ... oh well, just concentrate on the defensive half and help Logan Pause learn the game then" -- for a re-tread like Hiddink.
