Has anyone ever had this? It started happening when I began messing around with the ball in my house a couple of days ago. The pain only occurs when I play and run a lot, but with normal juggling, jogging, etc the knee just feels tight/ slightly weak. The tight feeling is generally around the knee cap but the tightest area is below the kneecap. Anyone ever experience this?
A lot of people have it. My son had it after injuring it in a Brazilian Jujitsu match. He went to a specialist laser. In three weeks he was back submitting people again. I had it myself plus I have a touch of artritus in the knee there is a 5 shot theropy I took. You take a shot in the knee a week for 5 weeks. 3 months after it I was moving around pretty good.
How old are you, Enx? How often are you playing or active in general? What's the intensity of your activity?
Im 17 and I play 4-5 hours a day. 2-3 Hours is very intense either my practices or pick up games ( i push myself lol) and the other hours is self practice which ranges from shooting, dribbling, juggling, etc
Funnily enough - I had EXACTLY the same. I'm also 17, and had been training a lot. I saw a physio and was told I'd just have to strengthen and stretch it. I'll post a picture of the workout I was prescribed later which may be of use to you? EDIT: May I just ask. Is it your strong or weak foot?
Right leg ( dominant ) but idk it pisses me off cause it feels uncomfortable i feel like somethings going to rip when i run, i dont like knee discomfort lmao
Interesting.. For me it was with my weaker leg. May I suggest the following workout for you: Single-legged squats (bad knee) - 10 reps x 3 Calf raises - 10 reps x 3 Squats - 10 reps x 3 Light lunges - 10 reps x 3 Step ups - 20 reps x 3 Then these stretches after: Calf stretch - 30 seconds x 3 Hamstring stretch - 30 seconds x 3 Hip flexor stretch - 30 seconds x 3 Do these 2-3 times a day, minimum. Follow this routine regularly for a few weeks and the knee problems will clear up. Need any help then feel free to message me pal.
You probably have some form of patella tendonitis from overuse, or not being strong enough in your hips; and there are various protocols for resolving that. I would recommend you see a specialist!
