Probably a good guess since they just lost McBride. They might be surprised to find out they aren't the same type of forwards. Would be odd to see Eddie and Kenny together on an English team when it came so close to happening here (I guess and Dempsey too since he is a Texas boy who could have easily been drafted here).
Is "warm" a hint? Meaning not England but a team in one of Europe's more Southern leagues?? Everyone assumes the Premeirship, but with Altidore and Szetela in Spain I'm thinking a mid-table La Liga club might be more likely at this point in time.
Warm? Italy, Spain or Portugal? It makes it tough since he does carry an English passport. I just don't see France as a possibility since Ligue 1 is like a track meet. The three I listed would be a better fit where the game isn't based solely on speed but rather slow, intricate build up play.
Which were the English teams sniffing around him pre-leg break: was it Bolton and Villa? I think that Villa is now hoping to join the ranks of Tottenham in the "spend big, hope to challenge big 4" race, but you never know.
How about Stoke City? American owner and there is some sort of Texas connection (development team in Austin). Or, maybe Man U with a loan arrangement and hopes to make some money on a subsuquent transfer. I can't see Cooper staying satisfied making $80M/yr if there is interest elsewhere.
I'm gonna guess Getafe of Spain. They were rumored to be looking at Carlos Ruiz a wjile back, maybe he trained with them in the off-season, so maybe they're still scouting dudes 'roun' these here parts. That would fit in with "warmer" even if Getafe is out on an island IIRC. warmer than UK anyway.
Well, unless he's typing the rest of his post in Latin it don't make no good sense to be using Roman math....do it?
Ain't Mallorca the one that has adverts of their uniform asses? My ass would make a great place for advertising. 'Cept it is usually stuck to my couch.
