Costinha rec'd a major concussion and Miguel tore/stretched some ligaments to his knee during Portuguese Cup games.

    Who should replace them?
Options at DM (replacement for Costinha)
    Pedro Mendes (Tottenham regular)
Bosingwa (fills in admirably when called upon)

Options at RB (replacement for Miguel)
    Meira
    Beto
    Ricardo Costa

I personally hope Pedro Mendes and Ricardo Costa will be called up.
What about Moreira? I think it's his time, atleast as backup.
What about Postiga? This guy has lost his confidence! Should stay home!
What about Tiago? Being outplayed by NT vets...Maniche, Petit, etc???
What about Caneira? I've never heard anything Good or BAD about this guy! Is that a good thing! I don't think so!
What about J. Ribeiro? Another shot for some minutes? I think so!
What about Quaresma? Ahh...Boa Morte is scoring again in the EPL!
And Almeida? Ah...we need him too much for our under 21's!

Miguel will be fit in the next NT game, but we have P.Ferreira to replace him, and Bosingwa can play as RB too
to replace Costinha, Pedro Mendes it's the obvious option
B.Basto is way better than J.Ribeiro, Scolari needs to see more dutch games, for Gods sake Gil Vicente is in last place!!!!!1
about Moreira he needs to be called up, cause Quim is his subs keeper
Tiago overrated and isn't at his best shape
Boa Morte is scoring goals and so what? does it make him better than quaresma? i don't think so
yes we need Almeida in u21 team..otherwise he should be in senior team, cause Postiga is a crap, after yesterday's game i don't have more doubts, what a crappy player

Miguel replacement will be Paulo Ferreira, and Costinha replacement will be Petit, and that's the way Scolari going to go

Do we know for sure that they will miss the next game. It is in 19 days. so it should be enough to recover.

Beto has played right back before for the National team, and Ricardo Costa can play any defensive position, RB, LB, even CB. As far as Meira...ill give you that one. But he is a player who's always on the bubble. ;)

Beto can play as RB, yeah he can, everyybody can, but remember WC 2000? no more comments, about R.Costa gimme a break, he sucks, i would prefer M.Garcia, M.Sergio and J.Pereira instead him as RB

Guys, I dont understand why you guys want to see bosingwa playing right back...did you guys watch the porto-chelsea game? Bosingwa shold be played as trinco...his crosses suck and his defensive abilities are weak...

I would rather see one of the two sporting right backs...

    lol...

Paulo Ferreira will be back at RB if Miguel can't play. Petit or Mendes just replace Costinha if necessary. I'd personally like to see Petit and Maniche together, they both can defend well and they both have cannon shots. But Mendes would be a very good alternative if Scolari's looking for a purely defensive midfielder.

I think Miquel will be back by then but I think Costinha will be out for a while. When someone suffers memory loss, it's worse than people think. Mendes or Petit can fill his role.

Anyone else notice that Miguel is constantly getting injured? If this keeps up, this guy will move like a broken down old man by 2006.

By the time the NT plays again, Petit will be back. Costinha and Miguel might also be back by the time they actually play.
