Shaun Wright-Phillips has pledged his future to Manchester City amid speculation of a move to Arsenal. The midfielder's father Ian Wright was a Highbury legend but the 22-year-old told the Sunday Mirror: 'I am not going anywhere because I'm happy where I am. 'I just want to carry on playing for City and let everybody else talk about everything else. 'I still check for Arsenal's results every Saturday but it doesn't really signify anything because I check the results does it?' http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=316393&cc=5901
thats what all players say.... means very little really.. not to spoil the thread, but its rubbish from SWP~
A-ha! He checks the results!!! See! See!! SEE!!! I'm not sure we need him, if you ask me he does what Reyes and Pires already do, but he is an exciting footballer. Step-son of Ian, he'll always be cool in my book.
The kid is doing well at Man City. I say give him a couple more seasons to see if he has staying power. It won't kill us to be patient. Maybe he's waiting to become the first player to be brought into the Grove.
