Claire Constant talks about playing for Haiti: https://www.concacaf.com/en/concacafw/news/haiti-df-constant-i-m-so-blessed-to-play-on-this-team/ “It was a huge honor just to be able to play with all these great players. They have been playing together for a while, they have a routine, so going into it I was nervous. I just decided to keep my head down and do what I do, which is play center back and use my voice. But that’s the thing, there is a language barrier. The coaching staff speaks French, the girls speak Creole and French. I had taken French for about seven years, but it’s not strong and I only know a few Creole words, but we worked together. The girls welcomed me in,” said Constant.

Maria Jamila Khan is a captain of Pakistan's WNT: https://www.footballpakistan.com/20...e-third-gen-hero-from-the-khans-of-nawakille/ According to the article, her grandfather & uncle were world champion squash players. Confusing, but she changed from GK in college to midfielder with her NT. And she has scored an international goal: 1616158117594529814 is not a valid tweet id
I should have posted this earlier. Final registration ended Jan. 9. Tryouts started yesterday. Expected participants for the U20 team tryouts include some youth standouts that have committed to US NCAA Division 1 schools including Grace Thao who is part of the US national team youth pool and is committed to the U of Colorado, Mikaela Abrennica who has verbally committed to U of San Diego, Megan Murray who has committed to U of Denver, etc. 4 players from the senior women's team are also age eligible to play for the U20 team including Isabella Flanigan, Chantelle Maniti, Kaiya Jota and Chayse Ying. They are important for the future of the PWNT. Many of the current senior national team members who have qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup in July were first identified thru these tryouts when they were still in their teens nearly a decade ago. Aside from age group AFC and AFF tournaments this year, it is possible that some of these youth players who are good enough to play at the senior level might even be called up by the senior women's team for tournaments outside the FIFA calendar(like the SEA Games in May) as the professional players on our team will most likely not be released by their clubs during these tournaments.
Ali Riley played about 66 minutes against the US in the 1st match & started and played 69 minutes (and took a bit of a hand injury) in the 2nd.

Adding a historical entry I stumbled upon today: Veronica Zepeda (later Cashman) is a player who appeared in 5 friendlies for the US from 1998 to 2000 and later played for Mexico in 2 friendlies in 2004. She later played for the US in futsal, winning the 2017 World Cup, which was not controlled by FIFA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veronica_Zepeda_Cashman
Ifeoma Onumonu profile in The Athletic (sub required): https://theathletic.com/4143676/202...am-nigeria/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983 February 18, 2022 was a day of firsts for Ifeoma Onumonu. It was her first appearance of the calendar year and included her first international goal and first international brace in Nigeria’s 2-0 win against Ivory Coast in the first leg of qualifiers for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament. It was the beginning of the Super Falcons’ quest to win their 10th WAFCON title. After the match, her mom said she’s going to be a star and her excitement made Onumonu laugh. Onumonu’s family is “over the moon” to see her play on the international stage, representing her family’s native Nigeria. Previously, Onumonu played for the U.S. U-23s. The Rancho Cucamonga, California native was bright for Nigeria in 2022, notching four goals and one assist in 13 appearances. Onumonu knows a spot on Nigeria’s World Cup roster isn’t guaranteed, her mindset heading into the next few months is to stay present and keep her mind and body prepared. Onumonu has been called into the squad as Nigeria travels to the Women’s Revelations Cup in February.
In addition to Ifeoma Onumonu, the Nigeria squad for the Revelations Cup in Mexico includes: Michelle Alozie Toni Payne
