Most of the team is made up of Fil Ams although the official list of players that will be participating in a friendly tournament in Pinatar, Spain against England, Scotland and Sweden U17's in February has not been announced yet. The Philippines is using the tournament to prepare for the AFC Women's Asian U17 Cup in April which is the qualifier for the FIFA Women's U17 Cup.

@BostonRed Dani Fuentes (El Salvador) {Club Necaxa} [UMBC, Sourh Alabama] is one of ours, I believe.

I watched her practice many times as the only (little) girl in a sea of boys.

So the good news is: losing one dual-national is a tragedy, but losing circa 103 is a statistic?

Manager of the Dutch NT, Andres Jonker, said on TV yesterday that he is hopeful that Lily Yohannes will play for the NT going forward. He said she is interested and that paperwork to allow her to qualify is underway.

Brought this over from Yanks Women Abroad 2024, was posted yesterday. Hope Emma Hayes is alerted to this development. Don't know what her philosophy is about promoting onto the full team highly talented, potential dual nationals being courted away from the Federation. Since we seem to be more inclined to a concerted rejuvenation of the team pool than in years past, we need to give this kid some recognition for her achievements by communicating where she stands in the pecking order--if it hasn't been done so already. Indeed it might be that she like many of the players listed above, is just one of the many talented dual nationals who can't break into the full US team.

She hasn’t been brought into the US U20’s. Perhaps we are not interested.

USA up 1-0, not much to watch really at the moment, other than midfielder Fuller. She seems to potentially international quality.

The Philippine U17 played competitively losing narrowly against England U17 0-2 and Sweden U17 0-1 in the MIMA Cup in Spain so it was a good experience for her and the other young Filipina players. England U-17 has a 3-0 record in the current UEFA Women's U17 Championship Group (Hungary, Belgium and N Ireland) with a 20-0 Goals against difference and defeated the Netherlands U17 3-1 in a friendly a few days prior to facing the Philippine U17 so the latter did well to keep it close against these traditionally strong UEFA countries.

Philippine Fil Am international Sarina Bolden just scored a hat trick in the A League (Australia's top women's league) giving her 11 goals (along with 4 assists) in the 12 games she has played since joining the Newcastle Jets in mid season just one goal behind the top goalscorer Michelle Hayman (who has played more games) right before the international break helping lead her club to 5th place in the A League standings. She has the highest Sofascore rating in the A League after that performance.

She is also the leading goalscorer for the Philippine Women's National Football team all time with 28 goals in 46 games including scoring the clinching goal that qualified them for last year's WWC as well as their only goal in that tournament leading the Philippines to their first win in the WC against New Zealand 1-0 in their debut tournament appearance.

She is expected to lead the PWNT in the upcoming Pinatar Cup(along with an extra international friendly against Finland) in Spain during the international break against Scotland, Finland and Slovenia from February 21 to 27.
