(Link: http://www.coloradorapids.com/news/newsdetails.asp?ID=705) 2004 Colorado Rapids Scoring Champion, presented by Budweiser, to the player who has scored the most points over the course of the season. 2004 Colorado Rapids Defender of the Year Award, to the player who has had the biggest defensive impact on the team over the course of the entire season. 2004 Colorado Rapids Humanitarian of the Year Award, presented by the US Soccer Foundation, to the player who has made the most contributions to our local community off the field. 2004 Colorado Rapids Most Valuable Player Award, presented by Honda, to the player who has been the most indispensable to the team over the course of the year. 2004 Colorado Rapids "Black and Blue" Award, to the player who most exemplifies the Rapids' team spirit of Black and Blue. This will be the first year of this award, and the winner will have his name inscribed on the trophy, as will each yearly winner from here on. 2004 Colorado Rapids Newcomer of the Year Award, to the player who made the biggest impact in his first season with the team. 2004 Colorado Rapids Unsung Hero of the Year Award, to the player who has performed well consistently for the team over the year and gotten his job done for the team without attracting the spotlight.
