Wow this whole time I had no chance then of getting tickets, I can't see any what a weird glitch, maybe because tickets for Copa are only available on Ticketmaster's USA site and I'm not in USA? But that makes no sense, there are millions of international fans
Sure but the floor will remain quite high. Do you think they'll fill > 60K seats for any USMNT group stage game?
Honestly the atmosphere would be better if they just closed the upper deck and made sure to sell all the lower bowl seats. They won't do that though so it'll probably be 45-50K fans spread out across the 75K seat stadium.
Completely agree. There’s simply a limit to the number of people that will attend a US-Panama game on a weeknight, at any price and even though it’s Copa America. It might not be full if they gave some tickets away for free.
I actually don’t think we’ll draw 60K at Arrowhead against Uruguay either, which is on a Monday. I’d love to see a huge sellout crowd there though they just sold out for Messi
It is going to be interesting. I think 50-60k sounds about right. But it is the summer, the Royals suck (I am not fooled bu their early season wins) and there's not much else to do in KC. Factor in FOX and Univision hyping up the match as the most important one since the World Cup and you never know. But yes, wish it was on a weekend.
prices are definitely not cheap but given a strong opponent and meaningful game they’re not comically high (certainly not any higher than a Chiefs game). We’ll see.
I'm on the queue for the final general sale tickets. >11,000 in one and >15,000 in the other. Anybody else too? Unsure of what the availability will be. Not super hopeful
So no new inventory, at least by the time I got in. Just people reselling tickets at big mark-ups. Figured as much.
Serious question: Has the US ever sold out an NFL stadium on its own merits (not because of the opponent or a doubleheader)? I can’t recall any beyond the 1994 World Cup.
I do not believe so. Correct me if I missed anything, but looking back through Wikipedia, the closest we have come to accomplishing that feat was a 2010 send-off friendly against Turkey in Philly which drew 55K. The second-closest was also in Philly when we played our 3rd Copa Centenario group stage match vs. Paraguay in front of 51K.
And to be clear, those didn't even come close. The Linc is 78K. They purposefully bungle the pricing upwards and pick the nfl stadiums trying to get a high average price of ticket and 40K+ in the stadiums for the bigger teams.
Ok, according to AO's post.. sounds like Copa supporters section is back! They will send out details tomorrow.
Can confirm same from Sammers. There will be some sort of ticket sale tomorrow at some point in time.
Sold out within minutes apparently. I clicked the link to purchase 5 minutes after it was sent out and tickets were already sold out. Unless there is some sort of technical issue. Anyone here have luck with AO tickets?
$180 per ticket plus a 10% credit card fee, comically high for these games. It’s interesting that bots seemingly snapped up a lot of them. Have to imagine many of those will be sold at a loss, particularly for the matches against Bolivia and Panama. The tickets on the resale market in Atlanta for the section next to it are actually cheaper !
I have no idea as well if the entire sections were being sold to supporters or just a portion but they did go quick.
Missed the window... but damn that's pricey. For KC, I grabbed 4 in the section next to supporters, cheaper on ticketmaster resale. For ATL, it's just me so I'll buy nosebleeds later and meander down. For Dallas, 4-6 of us going but will hold off and see where pricing lands in a month. There's $100 in the section above supporters.
I checked the link again last night for the Bolivia match and was able to get two tickets. Might be worth checking again for anyone still looking. I always hold off purchasing resale tickets until a day or two before events at ATT Stadium. So many seats in that place that prices start plummeting. If you don't mind too much where you sit and possibly splitting up the group, then wait until the day of the match for tickets at or below face value.
Everything that has come out in terms of organization of the tournament from Conmebol and the clear anti-consumer behavior of the oligopoly of resale sites points to a way below par atmosphere for nearly every game. This will be in stark contract to the Euros who run a buttoned up ticket lottery process to ensure real fans get to some games at reasonable prices vs prioritizing the secondary market.
Yeah I also think the regulations in terms of tickets are stricter in Europe -- and what people will put up with is also different. The tickets were harder to get but at least it was a fairer process. I know there are split views on this -- and we ultimately don't know what will happen -- but it makes me worried about 2026. So sick and tired of FIFA and others saying they are keen to "grow the sport" in the U.S. when what they really mean is they want to grow their wallets. But the good thing if we see half stadiums is that I hope the lesson ends up being of the risks of overdoing it like with the absurd ticket prices this year. Anyway sorry I keep complaining about ticket prices. It just pisses me off honestly.
This is insane, WTF! I'm not a part of the group or any of the other fan groups but this is complete BS. "Yesterday, AO and US Soccer had to partner to buy all of the tickets upfront to then resell to members. At the last minute CONMEBOL decided that the seats would be subject to dynamic pricing."
