Brazil's friendlies are managed by a private company, it's nothing special for them.

Interesting how Denmark is unable to cope with Brazil's pressing although the Brazilian team isn't playing very well. Denmark's goaly seems also very bad, I can remember similar blunders back then Denmark vs Japan. lol

On the other hand, it's just a pre tournament friendly and maybe they don't want to show tactics and effort, the team also could be a bit tired after those training sessions.

We know it before but it's pretty much breathtaking what a team Germany can offer even if you eleminate all Bayern players.. Personally I hope to see ter Stegen in 2nd half and Reus playing all match.

Yeah, the brasilian friendlies are managed by a swiss company named Kentaro and the HSV sporting director Frank Arnesen being danish and the close distance to the danish border didn't hurt either

Oh man why can't Howedes just play in his normal position, as a CB?!

I am still not sure about Schmelzer who i think might be the weakness in the team.

Used once by a German commentator, I've loved the phrase ever since! (Or should it be an der Spitze? I can't remember) :)

"An der Spitze" is correct if you're talking about the top position of some raking; "in der Spitze" is correct in this case. "In der Sturmspitze" would be even better, as it addresses the striker position directly. "Am Spitze" is wrong in any case.

"Im Tor" is correct though. IM TOR: WIM WIESE!

The starting formation against Switzerland is now apparently this (according to sport1.de):

    --------------------- ter Stegen
    Höwedes - Mertesacker - Hummels - Schmelzer
    ---------------------- Khedira
    --- Schürrle ---- Götze ---- Özil -------- Podolski
    --------------------- Klose (c)

They are playing away from home. That's too attacking. I doubt that's the starting eleven.

I believe we tried something similar to this once at WM 2010 but it didn't work out so well. I really can't remember though

Here's what I would like to see today

    ------------------Zieler---------------------
    -----------------------------------------------
    ------Hummels-----Mertesacker-----
    Howedes-------------------Schmelzer
    ------------------------------------------------
    ----Bender (S)------Gundogan--------
    ------------------------------------------------
    -Oezil--------Goetze-------Podolski-
    -----------------Gomez--------------------

    ***********Subs*************
    - At HT Ter Stegen for Zieler
    - 60 min Schuerrle for Podolski
    Reus for Oezil
Lahm for Merte/Hummels (Shift Hoewedes into the Center)
    - 70 min Sven Bender for Lars Bender
    - 75 min Cacau for Gomez
    Draxler for Goetze

None of the Bayern players will play correct?

Yeah i remember this, i think it was within the last year. We either lost or drew the game...3-3 or something similiar if i'm not mistaken, can't remember the side we played though?!

Coincidence or not, all the matches involving the Swiss NT that I've seen over the years across various tournaments, have been 0-0 or 1-0 or 1-1 at the most. And not just that the scores have been low, the games have been serious sleep inducers. Did a better job of putting me to sleep than Tolstoy's "War and Peace", and that says a lot.

I'm going to go with a 1-0 Germany win, with Klose scoring early in the first half.

Loew : ''Julian Draxler wird seinem Einsatz bekommen. Nicht unbedingt von Beginn an, aber er wird seine Chance erhalten''

    I'm searching out streams
Was it one of the friendlies against Ukraine/Poland? That's probably right. Either that or maybe it was the 2-1 against Austra we should have lost

I think you're talking about the friendly against Ukraine. Germany were trailing 3-1 in the first half and managed to earn a 3-3 draw at FT. I thought that was a complete experiment by Loew to see if his tactics can work in crunch situations when the team has to overcome a deficit. Worked pretty well , must say.

Agree with what Kahn said on ZDF.

It would be nonsense to let ter Stegen play today when he's about to get sent home before the tourney.

Then I thought yeah it wasnt like Wiese covered himself in glory this season. The three goalies: NEUER, ZIELER and TER STEGEN. Wouldnt that be risky? Wouldnt that be a blow for Wiese?

    Line up:

    Stegen
    Höwedes, Mertesacker, Hummels, Schmelzer
    Khedira, Götze
    Schürrle, Özil, Podolski
    Klose

Gotze playing the Kroos role should be interesting!

Wiese is second choice so Loew will give a chance to those who are fighting for 3rd choice. Neuer will play all the games in the Euro so who gives a shit who plays now. Ter Stegen is the best out of the three so he starts.
