2 tournaments. And we got one trophy out of him. That’s more than a lot of legends can say.

Marco played like shit in his last year at PSG. Took a pay out and now his playing with Serie C level players in the Middle East. It’s over Johnny. I’d rather go ahead with a player like Fagioli

I'm way ahead of you. I think it's time to move on from Fagioli and start playing [insert midfielder playing elementary school youth soccer].

Yep he wen't out on top can't complain. It's the biggest thing he did in his career and no shame there it was a massive trophy to win.

Are you trying to say that Fagioli is not good? Or too young. I don’t get your joke

I was just being sarcastic for no reason. You typically have very informed opinions, so I felt like sarcastically portraying myself as having (obviously not) scouted the "next big thing" already, and...

It didn't land, obviously. I'll try again, tomorrow.

I'm just bored. I want another game, already.

Another generation of a BBC backline on the horizon?

For the backline in general the talent we have 25 and younger bodes well for the next 5/10 years.

Bastoni Di Marco Gatti Belanvoa Buongiorno Calafiori Cambiaso Scalvini Udogie.

    then bellow that we have

Ruggeri Pairisi Kayode Pirola Coppola Terracciano.

Im sure some random guys will become good at 30 all of a sudden like Acerbi Darmian have Mancini seems to be inching into learning how to really play late in his career for example but either way we lucked out because that generation between Cheilini Bonnucci Barzagli of Romagnoli Caldara etc would have been very poor if these guys did not come up quickly to take the mantle. Our 2022 backline would not have been good at the world cup.

HORRIBLE PLAY. I can't believe us losing 1-0 (and Donnarumma showing he is world class) was the only thing fine about that game.

Yeah, like one of those USA games where everyone craps their pants and Tim Howard makes 9 saves, and they lose, anyway.

So it looks like Spalletti is going to be sticking with his guy Di Lorenzo who got cooked today and is going to continue to freeze out Fagioli and Bellanova for Cristante and Cambiaso. Negative thinking from a coach everyone that is saying is offensive. Honestly, I am at the point where Ancelotti would prolly be the only coach that would make me happy.

Get your point. But the score could've been much worse if not for him.

Don Carlo would never leave real Madrid to coach these bums.
Imagine having Vinny Jr, mbappe, Bellingham then switching to chiesa and zaccagni with frattesi as the 10. Put your cigar down.

Real Madrid would smoke any international team. Carlo already said it would be amazing to coach Italy. He was literally about to coach Brazil who are in serious trouble for World Cup quals. Put your cigar down. Our team is missing 3 key starters, who would've made this team quality. Put freaking Tonali and Fagioli in this midfield and Berardi on the RW who can actually create some damn space and balance on this team, and we would be tough to beat. You don't win games with 1 winger.

Donnarumma was great. Yet again, the opposing team is threatening almost immediately. Very disappointed in the defensive competence of the fullbacks, and the fact that they didn't do much going forward... they were basically useless.

we brought these fullbacks with the idea that they will play in a back 5. Spalletti thought he could wow everyone and have his cake and eat it to with his fluid 4231. Di Marco is not a left back at all.
Di Lorenzo can't defend one on one at this level. He could not even do it in 2021.

everything has been pointing to the Inter/Atalanta set up for 6 months and every time Spaletti uses it we look solid on both sides of the pitch. Beating Albania with beautiful football was a blessing and a curse. Hopefully he learned his lesson. We probably have to play a back 3 with fullbacks for the next 5 years given the personal we have.

Di marco is one of the best fullbacks in the world and a bang average left back.

I think everyone who been saying that we need to play with a back 3 has been absolutely right. I thought Spalletti was going to go with a 3-4-2-1 after the two recent friendlies, but this 4-2-3-1 formation just got skinned alive against Spain. Midfield looked weak and undermanned. Forwards didn't do sh*t.

It would be nice to have Udogie as an option, because he dribble by people. I still think Spinazzola's ability to just sprint by people is hugely missed. Dimarco is the master of whipping in crosses, but today we needed someone who can threaten to dribble past a defender. Who on this team can do that, besides Chiesa and (apparently) Calafiori? But Calafiori can't start dribbling up the field every play, and Chiesa barely saw the ball, today.

Relatively few successful passing sequences, and nobody with the ability to carry the ball up the field.

I would love to play Atalanta's 3-4-2-1, but we dont have the players to do it. We need another winger which is why losing Zaniolo and especially Berardi was gut blowing. Even when Tonali joins the team, he can play in the middle of the 4 but not in the 2, so still there is a problem. We have Chiesa and who else? That is why Gnonto and Pafundi really need to take a big leap for me.

    Italy's U17 played it perfectly:

    Camarda
    Liberali Mosconi

Even when they had Totti, Delpiero, Baggio , Inzaghi and Vieri, Italy has always had a problem scoring goals.

That is nothing new but at least they would squeak out some type of miracle goal here or there.

Aside from the forwards, currently, we have no one from the midfield or defense who can score a goal.

Even Bonucci and Chiellini would come up with a occasional goal as we saw at the last Euro but now , Italy has no one who can come close to those guys.

Yeah they are ok but looked pretty bad yesterday.

IGNORATO
