Actually, it is a pretty good comparison precisely because we're talking amateurs here. You looking for rank tribalism? Collegiate football's got that in spades.

Okay, so its comparable to Argentina v Germany. Not Argentina v Germany in a WC final.

I know, I'm quibbling over 5 words, but those 5 words negate the entire comparison while also revealing that he knows nothing about at least one of the sports he is referring to (and potentially clueless about geography as well).

It might be more comparable to a good club rivalry. I suppose it would work as a comparison to a club rivalry in Argentina, since our clubs have a lot of talented young players, and the best of them end up playing at the top European leagues, which would be the soccer equivalent to the NFL.

Watched the Portugal v. Chechia match on Fox, and they could not say Tom Brady's name enough. Because he played so long, like CR7.

Ok, I get it. But you don't need to say it more than a couple times, not the 15 or 20 that were said.

Yeah, follows from what I was saying above. Sometimes I feel bad for using a VPN and watching the BBC telecast, but I am left with little option here.

Some laws we are just forced to disobey. Like no dogs in restaurants (yet kids are allowed :ROFLMAO: ).

Will the USMNT fans chant “Trump’s dick looks like toad” during the 2026 WC?

Why praying before the game? What’s next, christening the goalposts?

If he wants to beautify a Cuervo from the NT then he's out of luck, I don't think there's a player who came from San Lorenzo in the current squad.

There's Angel Correa, a title winner in 2022, but he was one of the last cuts before this edition of Copa America. And at any rate, I don't think we can attest to a miracle from Correa.
