So today in the Ian Russell thread, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to be discussing Matias Almeyda, Chris Leitch, and... ...butt sex. Brilliant.
yes, kudos to us for that. anal sex is an unusual detour though (no pun intended) even by BS standards.
I notice a trend. Aome guys get defend Would you like a diagram with photos or would you like the explination
I just wasn't sure if it was one of your misspellings......did she mean anal raped, anal gapped.....? But, I guess I was the one who asked that you go into more detail on your "very dark extra-curricular activities".
Nope Anal GAPED. It is a form of sexual fetish that uses a device known as the GAPE-POD short termed GAPED to spread the rectal region for large insertion of sexual pleasure toys. Not Anal Raped or Gapped.
I would love to have Tim Hanely back working with Ian if he gets the job. Steve can stick around too.
Do you have "respect" for your co workers who are only there to get a paycheck? not to be productive and help their fellow co workers?
Yeah, but even those blowouts were the most exciting games we had had in awhile! And Chris played the kids!! I have no idea how'd do as a coach these days, but I for one enjoyed that brief spell of games.
In other words, when you went off to college your farts sounded like a...... .....and then when you left they sounded like a ...........
Ian had to rebuild his roster every year. So we know that he can identify players who fit his system. Also, he can get guys to buy into his system. And he was successful every year. This doesn't mean that he'll be successful in MLS, but it gives me more confidence in Ian than I ever had in Luchi. Go Quakesfans!!
The thing that drives me crazy is coaches that fail multiple times and still get hired over a guy like Ian that has a proven track record. Freaking Curt Onalfo was terrible in Kansas City, DC United and the Galaxy. Chris Armas??
First of all, it is really hard to break into MLS coaching if you are American, because we disrespect our own. The Americans who break into MLS or who get multiple chances seem to be more highly networked into the old boys network of Sigi Schmidt and Bruce Arena. It seems like you get more chances with that pedigree. I think Bob Bradley derives from the Bruce Arena pedigree… Frank Yallop pedigree has some weight, i.e. Dom Kinnear. But the club that should be promoting Yallop’s pedigree is the Quakes, but they haven’t done that since Dom. But as the game changes, maybe all of those pedigrees have already run their course, and MLS clubs don’t respect them anymore.
To bring this around to Ian Russell, the network or maybe more accurately the “influence” of where Ian grew up and learned the game should be given some weight in discussing him as a head coach. The Pacific Northwest/Seattle area has produced some very good players and coaches. Ian’s father was a well respected coach in that area. You know who else developed there? Brian Schmetzer. He was bypassed by teams as a head coach several times until he got promoted in the middle of the year when Sigi Schmid got fired. Will it take a similar situation for Ian to get a legitimate shot at head coach?
It took firing Sigi for Seattle to win multiple MLS Cups and Multiple MLS Cup Trips. Schmetzer > Sigi
Luchi! Why would we hire that guy? The only thing he had going for him was a possible line to the US Nats. At the time, I really wanted us to hire Ian, but we screwed the pooch instead. Go Quakesfans!!
I have nothing against Onalfo, but the jury is out for me as GM. I suspect Arena picked the guys he wanted but was tired of dealing with agents and paperwork. I think Arena got Onalfo the job and I’d want to see success without Arena’s influence before I’m convinced Onalfo is good there.
Pretty sure Onalfo was basically Arena's secretary Of course that goes both ways, Arena also gets the blame for bringing in his guys who are clearly over the hill like Jozy Altidore and Omar Gonzalez... that reliance on familiar faces long after they're past their sell-by date has hurt Arena a few times, including costing the US a World Cup berth in 2018.
Let me "politically correct" that for you. Pretty sure Onalfo was basically Arena's "administrative assistant".
