It's a big risk for any club to sign him, I still think his best shot is a big club that uses him like a bonus if he's fit that could get them over the top for big goals. Problem with alot of the clubs that he might be linked to is his wages vs his track record of injuries and ********ing off on clubs. If he lowers his wages he could probably find a club that's willing to make him the focal point and take the risk, if he truly wants to finish the last few years of his career to cement his legacy he probably has to sacrifice wages to get the best opportunities.

kind of agree. His track record for club shows he's just not dependable and his high salary is just not worth it for a player that will give you half a season at best. I would have no problem if he went to MLS just to keep his play and fitness level at a professional proficiency. Muriel's MLS salary is $4.3 mil at Orlando, Cucho's is $2.9 mil, so it's doable with the right team. Plenty of warm climate teams that could use his services.

I'm not sure MLS is the best choice for him career wise. He seems to excel for us, his clubs since he left Everton have been generally not amazing and although he's shown flashes clearly he hasn't played up to his potential. I think he has probably had the light go off that he's got a few more years and missed out on alot of his peak years for different reasons. I think if he goes to MLS he will not take it seriously and the pattern will continue, I think he especially after this summer is hungry for a challenge and to prove he's still a top player, for that he needs to go to Europe probably and imo the best clubs for him if the challenge and top level is what he craves he may have to take a pay cut to do it in the best situations.

At Everton he performed when he was healthy, and since then I think it's been down hill, maybe not England but as long as he can lower his wages Spain/Italy would be perfect for him imo. I also think if you put him in the best sides in the world he would add alot of value, they could afford him and he could be a gamble that comes off the bench or plays every other week at an Bayern Munich or Arsenal. Not sure those clubs need to gamble, but it's clear that there still aren't many in the world who can offer offensively what James can to a team as a 10.

How the hell is this guy in Mexico?? I haven't seen a ton of him but his skillset is of a ceiling of the best goalies in the world, if you can play and defend in goal with that high a line and dribble and control the ball you're gonna be in high demand. This guy looks like the Higuita heir, as the inventors of the sweeper keeper we owe it to the culture to have this guy playing for us ASAP

He has so much talent and a lot of potential. He is obviously good with his feet, always confident with the ball and his passing and distribution is probably the best out of any Keeper in our pool.

Only thing I will say is that his style is high risk/ high reward. He can get burned due to his aggressive playing style. That and he does not always seem to try and catch the ball, rather relies on volley- balling it away which gives up risky rebounds.
That can all be worked on as he goes to a bigger league with a better Keeper coach though.
I think he has a bright future no matter what league he plays in.

I don't think he needs to prove anything to anyone at 33 and he just hasn't had the drive to stay at any club for MANY years. Those peaks and valleys are what Euro clubs are concerned about. Add that to high wages and the fact that he's the kind of player that wants his cake and eat it too. Ideally, he would be great for that 35-45 minutes of flash that can turn the game into his favor but again at high wages, clubs will require more from him. Then you have his injury record and his constant call up to NT which works well for us but comes back to club a different player.
We have years of proof as fans and so do clubs. History has a way of repeating itself. That's why I thought a league like the MLS where a little less is expected of him and he has speedy players surrounding his talent would bode well. Listen, I hope he ends up in Europe but odds are not in his favor unless he's willing to take some salary cuts and work as hard for club as he does for the NT.

Most of the MLS contenders are in horrible climates going into fall/winter.
James hated Germany for Pete's sake. Could you imagine him having to play playoff matches in NYC, Columbus, Cincinnati in November/December?

Not the best league for Yaser but if he's not benched it will help him grow I think. I guess ligue 1 is better than championship....I think. And maybe he can return later on to EPL.

Yeah I checked their old games. It seems that they have several pretty young guys as regular starters, some 22 years olds and 19 year olds.
