Hungary could get a bit of a pasting here.

Supposedly Gunn's been utterly woeful for Norwich since a recent comeback form injury

I'm talking about creating chances for himself.

I mean Kane's ability to create chances for himself isn't what it once was. Mbappe losing his pace will hurt him a lot, I agree it'll be interesting to see if he can adapt or if he ends up in MLS by his early 30s like Henry.

If it makes anyone feel better the Swiss supposedly looked crap in qualifying and many fans wanted their manager sacked before this tournament. Looks like it all meant nothing.

On this quality Hungary v Scotland next week will not be a high quality match.

Still not sure who you mean unless you mean Tyldesley?

Hungary are playing too deep. Need to make some gambles.

Hungary improved in the second half but I think Switzerland deserved that win.

Switzerland are a good side. I can see them causing Germany problems and winning the group.

A highly unusual Spain side of efficient finishing and not endlessly recycling unthreatening possession for the sake of it. Worrying times, they might have learned from the last 10 years at last, and probably have the best under 21 talents in the world right now....

Mind you the ageing Croatia team look out of sorts. They were extremely lucky in the world cup, where terrible opposition finishing and their ability at penalties covered a lot of the faults of their side, and they still have no real midfield or attacking young talent breaking through for years now. Would not be at all surprised if they failed to qualify for the next world cup if their group is of a decent standard.

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I saw them this direct. They're looking so good out of possession too. Spain and Germany were two of the big teams with a few question marks around them so it looks like it could be a very high bar to win this tournament now.

Croatia were not particularly impressive in qualifying so them struggling is not that big of a surprise. They do through always seem to play better when the pressure is on so if they lose this will probably improve against Albania and then Italy.

One of the big teams will implode - German and Spain looking like it won’t be them,

I don't think we should get too carried away with these scorelines. Both Germany and Spain have basically just taken advantage of some incompetent defending. Spain in particular still look prone to coughing up chances, and Germany didn't really have to withstand any pressure at all against Scotland. I would expect England to score goals against these sides, the only thing I would worry about is the unfit back line we're likely to field, and whether the two in front can sufficiently shield it.

That's not a given. Euro 2012 was a tournament where the groups pretty much went the way you'd expect, could happen again.

Spain looked really good off the ball in the early stages but they've definitely cracked as the game has worn on.

For how good they are on the ball Croatia might be the most unathletic team I've seen up top.

    Is that not a red?

Surely that's either a dive or a red card. Not sure how it can only be a yellow as there's no attempt to tackle.

That was a tough few minutes for Croatia, surely a red unless I’ve missed something with the rules and then that offside must have been tight.

We might be in for a high scoring tournament? 12 goals in the first 3 games.

Spain and Germany looked impressive but don’t think their attackers are any better than ours.

The Croatian could have tapped that goal in even with the ‘foul’. Went for the hope of getting the pen and someone sent off.
