Jamaica falls asleep on Pulisic. Great feed to Pepi.

Jamaica's back line didn't quite step together, and Pepi punished them for it.

Happened damn fast. CP and Pepi saw what could happen before the D could react.

    Should be 2-0. 5 on 3. Yikes.

Pitch certainly didn’t help, but that’s gotta be a goal.

Big divot in the center circle kept Pepi from controlling a US clearance. Ah, CONCACAF.

Interesting that Scally has pushed forward a couple of times early on, so not a rigid three at the back. I've seen quite a few interchanges, including Pulisic in the middle (for the goal), Wes out right, etc. We definitely look wayyyy less rigid and predictable, though its early.

As I'm typing, Robinson sprung on nicely but keeper comes out to block the shot. We're looking great.

Let's hope so. It always makes international competition more fun.

If I recall, Jamaica eliminated Canada last year through it.

Jamaican back line is quite porous so far

    This pitch is WILD.

I always forget what it can get like in these away fixtures… then the memories come flooding back.

US just no nonsense right now… making mostly simple passes, occupying really smart spaces. Moving through midfield well. 3 very good chances already.

could get ugly with Jamaica chasing…

Looks kinda like 3421 to me.

    ------------------Turner-------------
    ---Scally----McKenzie----Ream---
    Musah---Cardoso--Tessman---Jedi
    -------McKennie----Pulisic-------
    --------------------Pepi--------------

Jedi & Musah high a lot.

    Great chance for Jedi there.

It looks like a bit of a hybrid, something you could call either a 3-back formation or an unbalanced 4-back formation. Just depends on whether you want to call Scally a RCB or a stay-at-home RB,

Nice work by Robinson and Wes on the right. We're really dangerous with guys popping up everywhere. Nice pass by Wes to Pulisic, but with was a difficult first time left foot strike on a bumpy pitch and Pulisic gets the field goal.
