I couldn’t make out Payne’s club logo, who does she play for?

watching Johannes yesterday; she’s got an incredibly fast, first step, and considering her age, she’s only going to get faster

and nice to see we’re keeping up with our neighbors; Canadians as well have looked good in recent Champions League action, especially newer names like Alidou, Laracy, Viens, Gilles

Here it is on YouTube at 1"14"43 of the video / 50'42 game clock

Brann (in red) loses ball at midfield, Olympique Lyonnais takes possession, Horan starts driving into the attacking third, and a Brann defender takes her down while attempting a hook tackle. Clear foul on Brann. It could perhaps merit a yellow for SPA (Stopping a Promising Attack) but she's getting her legs in front of Horan, not going through her from behind so it's not a dirty play. Horan gets the red for shoving the Brann player.

I don't know what bad feelings preceded this play but, boy, do I hate seeing Olympique Lyonnais surround the ref (Volha Blotskaya of Belarus) like that. Who do they think they are? Men?!

20 top talents for the Orange Lionesses.

Lily Yohannes (16 years old, Ajax) For the first time, there is a player in this list of whom we don't know if she ever wants to play for the Dutch team. Lily Yohannes was born in the US, played a few times for American youth teams and does not (yet) have a Dutch passport. Nevertheless, the KNVB recently asked her to train with the Dutch under 19 team.
Yohannes took a place in Ajax's midfield in no time and became the youngest player ever in the Champions League. If she continues to make such an impression, she will soon have to make a tough choice between her native country and her homeland.
